Re: Booster Plug

Averaged 40-42 mpg before installing the booster plug. Now getting 42-44. Overall throttle response much better.

Re: For 2013, BMW kills the best R12R colors

Hideous color and Bridgestone tires. Sad :( I'm on my 2nd set of Bridgestone tires. Bike came with BT 021's and barely got 6K - replaced with BT 023's , per manufacturer, which are supposed get better mileage. I'm very pleased with them. Good grip provides confidence when cornering tight twsties. I...

Yes it's alright. It means my Smoke Grey Metallic bike is more unique.

Re: Standard Seat Range

The dealer put a high comfort seat on my 1200 as part of the purchase. No extra charge. But, still very uncomortable after 30 minutes of riding. So, I had Rick Mayer customize it and covered in leather. I'm 6'2". Having the high comfort seat customized allowed seat to remain tall for me while g...

Re: Z6 worn out at rear - mix tyres?

Don't mix tires. Get another Z6 or put on a new pair of matched tires. I only got about 8k on Metzlers on my 1150. Only 6k on the Bridgestone Battleaxe 021 on my 1200. Replaced with 023's which are supposed to get better mileage. All in all though about 8k is all I get with my style of riding. I hea...

Re: New member, new BMW owner..

Congratulations! You're gonna really like the bike. I've had my '11 for a year and 6,500 miles. Just put on a new set of tires. My $.02 worth: I put a mudsling on and it is definitely worth it as it keeps all the crud off the shock and backside of the engine. Booster plug made a big difference in sm...

Re: new exhaust

I've got an '011 r1200r and the cat is in the y-pipe. It's round on our model and fit into the pipe, very unlike the Cat on my 1150.

Re: new exhaust

Sorry If I wasnt clear, the standard end can has a cat, the Remus Hexacone dosen't. This is a pic with the insert still fitted:- http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/derekmcd/DSC06005.jpg Once I took out the baffle out there was no obstruction, you could roll a golf ball through it. It came with ...

Re: new exhaust

Good to know - I'm considering it for the same reasons as yours. Just didn't want to lose any of the performance factors. I put a y-pipe w/ a new can on my 1150 and there wasn't the same back pressure in the systems and it lost some prrformance under hard acceleration. So, I put the cat back on. I'm...

Re: BOOSTER PLUG

Installed the booster plug from the group buy couple of weeks ago. Wanted to ride for awhile before giving a review. It was just what was needed to smooth out the throttle at slow speeds in 1st & 2nd. Also, bike shifts more smoothly as a result of bettor throttle response. Still getting same mpg...

Re: Anyone Used This Shield?

I have the sport screen on my 1200r, very similar to the sport screen on my 1150r. I'm satisfied with it as it keeps air off my chest, to my shoulders, and head in clean air. I'm 6'2" with the high seat customized by Rick Mayer. I also got the 18" screen and do not like it. Too much buffet...
