3M makes an auto trim tape available at auto stores. I stuck my reflectors on with it and use it for wheel weights as well.

Are the Hepco Becker or the SW Motech bars a direct fit for a 1999 R1100R? I'd like to put a set on my wife's bike.

I put the rear wheel from an 2002 RT on my wife's 1999 R1100R, direct fit, no modifications. The RT has a 17" rim and the original 1100R was an 18" rim. Better tire buy/cost is why I did it.

Looking around I see Wunderlich makes a control lowering kit. Anyone have one and like it? How badly does it affect cornering clearance? I don't think I'd use a wire brush but citrus cleaner works on road tar spots as does chrome cleaner.

If they are the black plastic BMW cases I believe they will. Be sure and get a key so you can re-key to fit your ignition. You can do that yourself or have it done at the dealer.

you have a short on the wire when it was pulled on to install your accessories. most likely it was the bar risers but you might disconnect the modulator first and see.

Removed mine today as we finished up service. Also reamed out the water drain line under the fuel fill cap, what a PIA... also replaced the fluid in the clutch, don't forget to do that one, servo brakes as well.

I have a set of Piaa 1100X LED's on mine mounted to Wonderlich's crash bar. They don't seem to do a lot at night but I bet you can seem me coming in the daytime. I also put Hyper Lights on the rear just in case you have any doubt I am stopping.

Martyn, would you be willing to post some side view photos of the Calsci screen you have? The Ztechnik is laid back quite on my 1150R where the older BMW screen on an 1100R stands more upright. I'd buy one if I thought it would work.
