Resurrecting a dead bike
Hi Team, In 2010 I abandoned my trusty bike (2004 Rockster, but posting here for the larger number of eyes and brains) to the elements. For period of time the bike didn't even have cover. I know, shame on me ... I have read number of articles and watched number of videos on how to try to revi...

Re: UK 2010 Rockster meetup
Have not looked at the board for more than a month. Bike is not in use and rotting away slowly in the garage, needs love and elbow grease 1st. On top of everything I am going to be moving house (+60 miles to reach Oxfordshire). But hey - must go to my 1st bike meeting! Riceburner - please can you PM...

Re: Looking for the power source.
You will find this article useful: http://r1150r.net/board/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14295 I went the same route, bought the splitter fuse holder, opened the fuse box and ... Shock and horror - since my bike is European Rockster I did not have the spare fuse spaces as described. So I ended up routing ...

Re: WUNDERLICH SCREEN
First impression - there is some whistling coming from the screen - around 40 mph. Have not tried faster as my commute is mid-town and can't go faster (can, but won't). So far the screen is installed kind of in-line with the instrument cluster cover. (in-line in the sense the continuation of the lin...

Re: WUNDERLICH SCREEN
Funny you should say that - I installed a Trimm last Saturday ... w/o the chance to test it yet. I am 6'2" and I had some nasty buffeting of the helmet if I tried to duck a bit on the Motorway. Nasty to the tune of my lid vibrating noticeably and causing headache after awhile. So I have to stra...

Re: Bosch 02 sensor for Power Commander
Quick update - the bike has O2 sensor, and will be a massive pain to get to it.
In very un-German fashion the bike designers have lobbed it just between the engine block on the front top of the Cat.

lol battery harder to get to than i thought it would be, can't get the alligator clamps from the tender on without raising the gas tank a little bit. anyone got a link on the forum to an easy way to get that tank up just a bit in order to access the battery terminals? thanks! Do you mean clicking sound?
Take the starter cover off and measure the voltage (easiest in my opinion (might be wrong) to reach.)
I can't tell you what the Voltage should be but ... I am sure you can see on Google (or search here).

Re: Bosch 02 sensor for Power Commander
First of all - thanks for taking the time to reply. The assumption that I live in the UK is correct - the bike has to be Euro-specification Rockster. I honestly do not know if the bike has O2 sensor and I have not been to the garage since (work is taking over my life). Generally speaking I knew roug...

Bosch 02 sensor for Power Commander
I need some giudance here from those in the know: I bought a PCIII from eBay. It was listed w/o O2 sensor, and I did not pay enough attention when I bid for the unit. It is still a bargain though. Only reason to buy it - to get better throttle response/smoother power curve and avoid lean running. No...

I've noticed that some of the diagrams on the net don't match up with my two-spark 04. I'll have to print the jabrooks one one and see if it matches mine. I think I have 9 fuses though. As per my previous post - bough the fuse splitter ... and ... found I have 9 fuses too. Next thing (apart f...

Re: Has anybody had any luck plugging a Metzler tire?
Did your kit resemble this item ? It is Rema TipTop Rep&Air - a right bastard to use ... if you have not done it before. In my short 9000 miles on the Rockster I had collected a grand total of 4 (or 5 ... memory seems to be fading) nails. I wrote off a nearly new Pirelli Strada (close equivalent...

Re: Fuses
I used fuse #7 (heated grips) and a Littelfuse add-a-circuit to get switched power. I picked that fuse because I figured if something goes wrong it is not a mission critical circuit. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=071-580 Blooming marvelous! I spent a few hours loo...

I will get a set too ... if anyone is willing to ship my set to UK (at my cost) and accepts Paypal.
I do not care what colour they are.
