Backrest by RCU

I found this backrest on the web: http://www.ascycles.com/detail.aspx?ID=43424 Does anyone have this one? If so, is comfortable? Is it quality? Is it detachable (without too much trouble)? Does anyone have any other backrests to recommend? many thanks in advance. P.S. I would be fitting this to an 0...

Corbin Nightmare

On March 24th, I ordered a saddle with a backrest from from Corbin for $756. When the seat arrived, I discovered that it did not fit. I called and explained this, and the guy in customer service told me to take pictures to show how it didn't fit, then send these pictures to him. It seemed strange th...

Pillion

When my wife rides with me, she slides against me when I slow or stop. I've decided that this is because the pillion is at an incline. To fix the problem (1) I am thinking about getting a luggage rack and and a bag so that she can lean against that, or (2) I am thinking about getting a custom seat (...

Seat

I'm looking for an aftermarket seat for two-up riding with a back rest. I'm familiar with the Corbin, but I would like something a little less expensive. I'm mainly interested in the pillion being comfortable.
many thanks

Confederate Motorcycles

Them boys down south are at it again. You can see their latest project at http://www.confederate.com/renovatio.php Being a poor boy, I have little hope of ever riding one of these machines, but I think these are the most beautiful bikes ever made. (This latest one is still a question mark.) Better t...

Cordura Jacket

I bought a cordura jacket a couple years back from BMW. At first it was impervious to rain. Now it soaks right through. I clean it will dish soap and water, that's it. Has anyone else had this happen? Have I done something wrong? I bought a pair of cordura pants last year and I would like to sing a ...

Yes, I agree with this report above, thanks. I love my M3s. I am considerably faster in the twisties than I was on my old Bridgestones.
I've had em all summer and no excessive wear yet.

Southern Indiana

On trip back home from the east coast earlier this year, I rode through southern Indiana (Hwy 150). This was a great road, well paved with some fine twists and hills. I am thinking about taking another trip through the area. Is anyone familiar enough with the area to suggest some good roads? Thanks.

Big Black Bugs!

Living in Illinois, there never is an absence of corn, and where there is corn there are bugs, but this year I have noticed an increase in the number of big black bugs (sorry for the technical jargon). They're huge, and when they hit my helmet they sound like rocks. I'm just glad I have a full-face ...

The dealership in St. Louis closed last summer. I remember the sign on the door read "because of poor treatment of their customers another BMW dealer has closed."

By affordable I mean hundred buckish a night. Thanks for the Alrington suggestion. I might end up doing that. My ideal was to find a place where I could park the bike safely and then just walk to all the sights, but I'm having a hard time finding anthing.

Places to stay in DC

Taking a ride to DC soon. Was hoping someone might be able to recommend a place to stay that is affordable, safe (for the bike), and near the mall. Much obliged.

Rockster Seat

I'm sure this has come up before, but I'll ask anyway: I am thinking about buying a new seat for the Rockster, as I am planning a long trip this summer. Will someone please recommend a comfortable seat? I'm also curious about the price range and whether I will need to buy a pillion too or if a new s...

That's a beautiful bike you have there. The tan seat and mini-faring really give it some style.

I've got a rockster, and, though I love the styling, I didn't expect most others to like it, but I get compliments on it wherever I go. My favorite comment was, "you riding across country?" The implication was that, even though I didn't have any luggage on the bike, a bike that "exoti...

I don't know what is wrong with your clock, but my guess is that one of the programming buttons got jammed some how, so you might fiddle with them. Good luck

I've found the Rockster a very capable tourer. I was able to strap on all the luggage I would need. It negotiates well twisties, cities, and long dull stretches. That is perhaps my favorite thing about this bike, its versatility. Enjoy your trip
