Re: 2015 Bash May 15-17, Staunton Virginia

A little late here but everyone knows the saying. Another great Bash as usual. Thanks Wayne. It was good to see the familiar faces and some new ones. I'm already looking forward to next years. John.... sorry to hear about your mishap. Heal up quick. Maybe we'll catch up at the Half Bash. Regarding t...

Phil..... Can I still put in a request for a L in short sleeve? I've been away for awhile.

Looks like a great turnout this year. Looking forward to it.

We're about a month away. So post up, who is planning to attend?

I plan on arriving Friday afternoon and leaving Monday morning. Mike will also be there but he will be leaving sometime on Sunday.

See you there.

Re: Fuel Strip (Again)

Mine went a couple of months ago.

Called Mortons BMW this morning and verified that they are replacing them under the extended warranty. Service appointment in August to replace.

Right on. :D

Re: 2014 Bash - May 16-18, 2014 - Mt. Airy, NC

Sorry to hear about your flat Steve. There must be a bug going around. I also had a flat on the way home. Picked up a piece of glass about 20 miles east of Roanoke on Rt 24. It happened within 5 miles of where Buckster had his breakdown on the way to the Bash. Luckily I was able to plug it and make ...

I'll be arriving sometime Thursday afternoon in the rain. It wouldn't be a Bash unless you get wet at lest once. Tagging along with me will be Buckster and my son.

Lasagna Saturday night sounds good to me.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I'm sorry I missed this years Bash. Hoping to get back in the groove with the 2014 Bash.

Just spent 2 days at VIR exploring the R1200R s capabilities. Great fun. :D :D

Re: 2013 Beakster Bash, May 16-19, Marietta, OH

Looks like I won't make it seven in a row. I'm in the process of becoming a Virginian and there is a lot of conflicts with the Bash dates. I'm really going to miss attending and seeing everyone. :( There is a good possibility that I will be able to make Hungry Mother though. Have fun all and lots of...

Re: Wonderlich Seat

I have the Wunderlich seat with a dead sheep on it. At 6' 1" it puts me in a comfortable riding position and I can still flat foot the bike. My only complaint is the large gap between the front of the seat and the fuel tank. You would think for the price they could get a better fit.

Re: Fuel line quick connects?

I have no source for only the male portion of the disconnect. I know the the sections of the disconnects are interchangeable with kits that Beemer Bone Yard sells. I replaced all the plastic OEM, except the one on the fuel pump housing with the BBY kit on my 06 1200RT. The RT also had the cracked fl...

Re: hot rotor

I had the same scenario (but not as bad) on my 06 RT. I could also smell brakes by the time I reached the bottom of the descent. I had attacked that downhill rather vigorously. That was 2 years ago with no ill after effects.

Re: Which tankbag for new R1200R

I went with the Cortech 2 12 L magnetic mount. I've had several Cortech bags over the years without any issues. It holds everything I usually carry in a tank bag, is not overpowering on the R and is reasonably priced.
