Cool, so a Gold Bond Medicated wet wipe AND a Benadryl may be in order. Thanks. I carry a little hand-held siphon for Sportsters along-side the road out of gas, a little electric compressor for VW trikes with an air suspension (and a leak), my tire plugger kit for folks with flats, bottles of water ...

Bee stings & Benadryl

More and more often, closer and closer to home...... it's no longer as distant as it once was. - Motorcycle riders' (bad) reaction to bee stings - I was on a ride with a group of riders, two of us at the back of the pack on an isolated road, suddenly the guy in front of me pulls over and whips his h...

DJ..... The image you posted has indeed whet my interest. It got me excited and had me punching all sorts of search engines for another image..... couldn't find anything. As I see it, that headlamp is about the only thing that remains a mystery, the rest of the bike makes sense. (Although, we can ex...

Fuzzy images of a rather progressive headlamp housing.... for a BMW. And if it fits, I'd install a "beak" from a prior 1150; I find it rather endearing. My God, the suspense and anticipation is killing me. The F800 has left me cold, what with the mixed reviews and all. Besides, I need to c...

Hmmm, updated headlamp. Did they give us projectors? Looks like that mini-fairing is begging for a larger tinted version. LCD instruments look like they are capable of more information than land & engine speed. Clean, low profile mirrors. Oil cooler shrouds directing hot air through body work an...

Engine: 95 hp at the rear wheel, 85 torque. Geared for STRONG mid-range! Ergos: More sporty than "sit up & beg" of RT fame, but not with the width of Rockster bars. Narrow seat where the thighs hang for us height challenged. Foot controls on a peg-board type adjustable configuration. W...

Phil...... Thank God I don't have to answer to my cats. They given up looking for ANYTHING fascinating (while they sit at the kitchen door) about why I wrench, wax, adjust, wipe, take apart, readjust, sit on, gaze at, and otherwise polish an already shiny bike. I too feel compelled to use something ...

Dare I say it, but I could be summoned to the Dark Side of 1200S power! I'm a tame sort, the kinda guy who wouldn't besmirch say...... a KLR rider on a "BMW's only" ride, the kinda guy who wouldn't feel slighted if an older/slower Roadster were to spank me, or if a toy of a Bonneville were...

Check your oil level as often as you want, under a variety of conditions, hot OR cold...... - BUT - There is only one correct time/way to check and be assured of having the proper amount of oil: 1) The engine must have been running for at least 20 minutes around town or on the freeway. 2) Swing your...

The factory shocks can in fact be 'converted' into "rebuildable"....... don't waste your money though, use it instead to apply toward better shocks. Works Performance makes a very decent product, and you can deal with them over the phone. Kind of a personal touch. After you log thousands o...

Buy yourself a Tire Plugger kit and an electric compressor, I repaired quite a few flats out on the open road and was on my way withing the hour. I have inner tubes with my spoke wheels on the current bike, can't plug 'em....... so I carry a bottle of Slime, but may choose to carry a can of fix-a-fl...

Over 58,000 miles on a single sparker '02. Upon the close of the warranty, the starter had to be replaced..... that's about it. I rode the hell outa that bike, spinning it up like it was an R1. Seafoam was added to the gas every 2,000 miles, oil changed at either 3,000/6,000/12,000 miles with a 25,0...

I would guess that the new R1200R will be a more expensive alternative to the F800, but it will not get the much dreamed about power of the R1200S. I don't think they want the Roadster to steal any of the thunder out from under the Sportier R1200S Boxer..... Because it will be a heavier power-to-wei...

leno, I believe the same screen can be had via JC Whitney for a mere $60.00, in fact I just ordered one for a project Bonneville I've got going. It doesn't offer much protection, as it is meant to be crouched behind at high speed. I found that it seemed to make my bike more directional and afforded ...

jimcameron, I am loving my BonnieBlack, but the tube tires have me riding scared (of a puncture/flat)! Forged wheels are becoming available for the Bonnie's, but they're cost prohibitive.... or are they? The tube wheels is about my only complaint with the bike. I can't understand it, only 61 horses ...
