Looks like sykospain might've abandoned BMWs for Honda?

Re: Old Fourm members

Joined in 2006 and had my '04 Citrus Green Rockster for 10 years. Rode it to Phoenix and back and a couple of trips out west and over Beartooth Pass. Bought it with 6000 miles on it and traded it in last year with 42k on the clock. Loved that bike but was lusting after an Edition 80 Rockster. Bought...

Re: Rocksters Headlight question

Ahhh, that's what I was missing, right-click and "Open link in new tab". That worked. Nice lights. They are a perfect size for the Rockster.

Hi georgek,
Do you still have the Mototechniques risers from your R1150R for sale? If so, I'm interested in buying them.

Re: I miss the old helmet lock from the previous R's

I ordered one of these from Pirate's Lair for my R1200RS: http://pirateslair.net/HelmetlockS.htm . They indicate that it should work with our foldout keys. They note on the site: "We have learned that our kit does work with the 2015+ R1200RS / R1200R with the fold-out key." It's the middle...

Remus header pipe question

I've installed the Remus header pipes on my 2012 R12R and it fits great with one exception: the rubber centerstand stopper no longer lines up with the tab on the stock can. The stopper is an inch or so away (towards the front of the bike) from the tab. Has anyone else had this issue?

Wow, sounds like your options are to either move back to Ontario or "pay the man" and enjoy the bike. Lucky you don't own a Ducati!

Re: What to do!!

Is it possible to put all but the minimum insurance on hold during the winter months? Suspend all but comprehensive (fire/theft) while it's parked? I've done that before to save $. Or, like another poster suggested, maybe sell the bike to someone in the U.S. or another province?

I also ordered one from Wunderlich. I think the protection is a good idea and Wunderlich products are top-notch.

Any recommendation? BMW Service In Phoenix, AZ

Does anyone have a reference for a good place in Phoenix to have work done on a final drive? Drive seal(s) need to be replaced and have called both Victory BMW and Scottsdale BMW and they seem ok but I'd like to get opinions and find out if there are other options. We don't live there permanently bu...

Re: Charging the battery of a 2002 R1150R

NVMIKE, Yes, all R1150R bikes can be charged through the accessory port. Here's a charger that works for both gel and non-gel batteries: http://www.ascycles.com/detail.aspx?ID=1357 It includes the adapter and this one at A&S is a good price, as it's $85 + tax at the dealer. Battery Tender Plus w...

This adapter plug works great. Just be sure that if you have a gel battery that your charger is compatible:
