I need an heavy duty waterproof switch that will decently fit under under my right thumb on left grip.... similar to the one linked below which is a push & talk switch for cops intercom I believe. I am on the market for it but also looking for alternative options in the same mood. Actually I wa...

Re: FIXED (Odd re-boots & full power outage while riding)

Yes same symptoms for at least two years until it completely died while riding.... had to exactly identify the issue. But now I like the trick my mechanic did with the fancy bypass switch on my handlebar so I think I am going to wait and fix few other things first like a dead heated grip on the righ...

Re: I just retired...

Oh! Mike I am glad you survived that crap! We crossed each other once years ago on Highway 33 few miles after Ojai where the bridge is... You made my day on philosophical introspection & motorcycling. and I hope that for now you can find at least a re-cycled moped seat to sit on for some super b...

Re: FIXED (Odd re-boots & full power outage while riding)

For those who experience this problem I finally was able to isolate the cause of the issue with certainty. It started with slow startup of the bike & specifically the dashboard who also was re-booting a few times before the bike was finally able to start. Recently the problem was getting unbeara...

Re: WARNING! It's an Oil Thread. Change in recommended Oil.

Its a good oil this Castrol!
I am using it since almost a month with my usual Chevron 91 and I can feel a difference in noise, vibration, acceleration & torque. Also my engine seems to run better at start up... it start better and run better the first 3 or 5mns.

Thanks Don for the advice.

Re: Never drove a Harley

Motorcycle riders wave at one another to acknowledge that both are sharing the riding experience. It's common all over the world. The style of wave varies - hand up, hand down, pointing finger, etc. etc. - but the meaning is the same: "I see you fellow biker." YoH! That's a Santa Cruz way...

Re: Techron question?

I am using the Castrol TWS Don recommended me in this thread and I just have to say that it feel really good. 1) Engine feel more stable. 2) Less noise and even maybe less vibrations. 3) More torque... let's say %8 to %10 more. 4) Better acceleration 5) Feel real good overall! It's all I have to say...

Re: Techron question?

My Venice beach overwhelmed mechanic made of a special.... venician compound...say that it's better to use semi-synthetic and he also says a few time that full synthetic can suddenly break down and make a mess of the engine reason also why he recommend to still change synthetic every 3 or 4000 miles...

Re: Techron question?

Roadfool, trust me in Los Angeles they are all the same... I am exaggerating a little but they are either BMW dealers "who try to deal you a new motorcycle" anytime you show up to fix a puncture or when you just need a set of break pads let's say (As if you were Tom Cruise looking for a $1...

Okay! While web browsing I also noticed that there is the CASTROL TWS 10W-60 and the CASTROL EDGE 10W-60 but the EDGE isn't approved & available at BMW car dealers. Thanks I needed some clarification & will call my nearest BMW car dealer soon.
