I already had a 2000 Hayabusa, and your BMW is made no better. Just slower and more comfy. I'm on my second BMW and I don't believe for a second my bikes are a better quality than the Jap bikes I have owned...but if knocking the Jap bikes makes you feel better about dropping more money on a BMW, th...

Yeah....... I had a look at the new Busa in the flesh for the first time yesterday. It sure has one sweet looking arse. They only had a black one, which at first I confused for the old model from the front. Love that shape, but the overall quality/look still seemed a bit disposable. I'd like to see...

Just vote.
Not to scew your results but my K1200S has ABS, and comes standard.

i know but the motor bikes in France are more expensive for example the ducati 1098 has 17000 euros here. holly crap; i don'know this expression before . LOL. That's okay, you have a better health care system then Canada, have to pay for that somehow. Was VAT included in that price you stated?

Re: K1200 vs R1150R

I1. Speed, I just need more ponies! 2. I feel the R1150R has limits when I ride it hard. 3. On long distances 3,000 miles and up will the K be as good? 4. Mid life crisis is making me do this. Thanks for any advise. 1. Have you ridden a K1200R? There is fast and there is ridiculous. This bike is su...

R1150R is a great bike, but the K1200, and my new ride the K1200S is a whole other kind of riding. Power, smooth, and at least on the K1200S in second gear you can go from 40 K/hr to 180 K/hr...why the other gears  The point is that the K1200 series is absurdly powerful, smooth and you can't be...

BUY IT! You owe to yourself to own a R1150R. Very nice bikes, and at 50K should be well broken in. What you will like about the bike is its versatility for exploring around town, or around the country. What you may dislike about the bike is the feeling of the motor, or the very very slight buzz in t...

With reference to what many Canadians are thinking: although the CDN dollar is doing well against the US dollar, it isn't as strong against the Euro...and since BMW's come from Germany....

Congrats Dwayne. Thanks for the info. If I had only one bike it would be the K12S. Can I ask if the 1.9% finance offer was ON TOP of that excellent deal? The real bummer is that in the US they are $14000 MSRP and they have a promotion taking another $3000 off (the K12 Sport). But, we can't buy one ...

They replaced all the plates, shaft and bearings. Still weary...I doubt I'll keep it for another 30k kms. I just found out BMW released the F800GS...I suppose I'll see it at the bike show in Jan 08, here in Toronto. That may be my next ride. I was looking at the F800GS on the BMW Motorrad internati...

BMW Toronto. Not too pleased with their service over the last year, although they fixed the clutch failure. Their just too convenient at 6 km from my house. I'll go elsewhere in the spring. Was actually looking at a KTM today. I've actually been thinking of switching to the Triumph Sprint ST, prett...

There was another post related this this, and I posted teh results there. BMW replaced everything. They replaced all clutch plates and shaft bearings as well (bearings that were not replaced during the 1st re-build at 33k km). The scuff/rub mark on the inside of the housing is actually a grease sme...

I HATE the R12GS

I hate the fact that my desire, and determination to own a K12R, is slowly being swayed by pretty red R12GS at my local dealership. Damn you BMW.... Damn you!!!!!
