vent lines
It had been a while since I had the tank off. So I undid the vent lines and they both came off the same, usually one has the barb and the other does not. How do I tell which goes where.

Re: Bike won't start
I took the tank off and checked the connections fine. Checked the voltage with out the charger 0, with charger 3. Bad battery. A friend loaned me his old from a K bike fits fine and with charger 14+. Good to go except, I am selling the bike so I guess I should by a new battery for the buyer as I hav...

Bike won't start
After the winter ended, I hooked up the battery tender again, Long story but I can't trickle during times when it might snow. Today I tried to start the bike, battery charger was showing solid red and flashing green. I turned on the ignition and I did not even have instrument lights. Last night when...

Re: yellow or red for rear indicators
Same here, But in Va they are more likely to follow the letter of the law.The amber color lens is more visable from a distance then red, so we use the factory amber and haven't had a problem with inspections or LEO so far ( 4 years).

i have been told that if you run the turn signals full time they must be red. Yellow is only for flashers. I'm in Maryland and was told that from a dealer.

I also have the Parabellum and without the wings it was terrible, with the wings I couldn't be happier. For summer I have a short shield and for the cooler months a tall one that I bought and cut it down so I could just see above it.

Re: Anybody running a Parabellum Scout?
I tried a few other windscreens before I got my Scout. I have a couple of different sized shields and the one I now exclusively use is the largest cut down to where I can see over the top easily. No more dirty air around my helmet, plus it helps me keep me dry in the rain. Look around you should fin...

Re: mid versus premium grade fuel/startup
Cyclerob: You can thank the Greenies for borrowing Ethanol from the food supply chain and giving to us an inefficient, corrosive, inferior motor fuel. I believe this is the first time you are truly WRONG! The Greenies don't want corn taken out of the food chain and turned into ethanol. That my frien...

Re: Long trip accessories?
I ride with a Parabellum scout on my R1150R and couldn't be happier. I allows three different heights and changing takes minutes. I also have the standard side bags with bungee buddies to which I strap a Seattle sports dry bag. I have used these for seakayaking for years and they are not expensive a...

Re: BMW Touring Windshied vs. Cee Bailey vs. Parabellum
I tried a bunch of various fairings and found that the Parabellum Scout was the all round best choice. I found the BMW and Cee bailey had too much dirty air. The scout allows me to easily change the size if the windshield from 10 in the summer to 18 in the cold although I usually prefer a 15. I saw ...

Re: Corbin seat
I have four bikes all have Corbins on them. I have a smallish back side and I like the seat to be harder rather then softer. When I got this bike I tried four other aftermarket seats, all used from the various sites. Found the Corbin here and it is all I ride on. But unlike the other seats it takes ...

Re: Warm start issue
I'm no expert but I suspect if it only happens when warm it is a wiring problem. My Guzzi did this and it was the wires to the starter that had corroded, cleaned and still does not happen. That was three years ago.

Re: Full size left case question
The RT case is full sized and you have to lower the muffler for it to fit, many of us have done that or just removed the muffler and used a chrome tip. Look at the search button for the mod. BMW sells all the pieces to make the mods, lowering kit and an adapter to move the mount for the full sized c...

This clamp kit really makes it super easy to change the lids. I have had them for three years and don't think twice about changing the lids to go grocery shopping. I would like a thrid set so I'll gladly split a set with someone.

Hide it in plain sight.I also just leave my key in the ignition attached to the BMW roundel. But I also have a spare inside my Big Mac tank bag
taped to the patten.

I have had Napoleons on the last three bikes I got the RR and put them on. Not as good as the former bikes. I went with the K mirrors and they are great.

Re: Aftermarket Suspension Manufacturers
I have the Wilbers front and rear, they made the biggest difference in the ride quality. At 25000 the stockers jumped all over the road. I also went the extra for the adjustable rear, I ride solo 100% of the time so I wouldn't go that route again. The Wilbers and the Olins are top notch but I found ...

Re: how do these plugs look?
I don't know if I would change them yet. But if youbuy them stick them in your cases with all the things we carry just in case. When you go to sell you can sell them separately. Like all the other spares we carry, it seems if you carry emergency parts you never need them.

Re: She took a fall.
I painted my cases after I tried to fit between a car and a hard place. All I did was to sand out the gouges with finer and finer wet or dry and paint. I purchased the paint at Nyquest. less then $75.00. Two coats of paint and two coats of clear. Now boot marks just wipe off with simple green. http:...
