Re: A sad farewell to one of the forums founder members...
Anyone have that photo of Patrick astride the pink Vespa with matching purse? http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l238/rivers_bucket/PatWilliamsVespa.jpg This hurts me deeply... Pat was a wonderful unique individual and had a gift for striking up conversation making many friends where ever he went. I...

Re: Front fender replacement
The front fender from the K12RS will also bolt right on...Is there anything else across the model line with a fender similar to the S or Rockster that will fit on the R?
There should be some images on this site as I recall seeing them.

Re: Front fender replacement
Those are carbon fiber fork leg covers/protectors that a friend made for me.
I had my fork legs powder coated black then added the covers/protectors...

Re: Front fender replacement
I changed my beak out with another beak of sorts - that from a R1150RS with the added fork leg pieces... It is a direct bolt on. The inner portion or mudguard is that of a K1200LT. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l238/rivers_bucket/21432411-L.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l238/rivers_bucke...

5) Patrick is the bike-wh0re that lives in northern Cal. Who knows what he's currently riding?! The poor guy's always in debt, and always riding a different bike. I miss his posts. Herniated belly button, Gold Bond Medicated Powder, fine cigaros, and red wine! http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l238...

What was wrong with your K12R that you were so dissapointed???? I had fun on my KR for the brief amount of time I owned it. For me, it was just the wrong bike. It boils down to how you like to ride and the roads you ride on. The KR is a blast to ride on smooth surfaces, sweeping turns, and nice str...

BOS is worth a look...
I like these BOS exhaust systems for the BMW boxers. I'm strongly thinking of gettin' a full system for my GS... Pipe opinions are like ...., everyone has one. Here's mine: I agree with DJ on the re-packing issue. There are many good quality units out there that don't require it. Have fun shopping. You'll save a some weight and any perceived audible difference will be a plus. For added H.P., much more than a n...
