What's up with the slip on shoes???
$10 at Walmart. You can soak them in water when riding in the desert and your feet stay cool as the water evaporates. Easy on, easy off also.
I know, not the safest shoes for motorcycle riding.

DC to Seattle and Back via numerous national parks
I just got back from a 15 day trip from DC to Seattle and back to DC. Along the way I passed through Yellowstone, Badlands, Glacier, Rocky Mountain, Mt Rainier, and Arches National Parks. Also saw Rushmore and Crazy Horse as well many national forests and Bonneville Salt Flats. I'll post some of the...

I know there are a lot of variables but how low did you cut in relation to your head height? Is the top of the shield 2" inches below your site line? 3"?

Re: How to Cut/Trim windscreen
Bingo! I thought about using the dremel. What tip did you use?
So you were getting the buffetting before you trimmed it down?
How did you do it?
I'm thinking I should tape it, mark the line with a grease pencil, then start cutting.

How to Cut/Trim windscreen
I have a V-Stream windshield on my R1200R that buffets the hell out of my head at highway speed. I'm starting a cross country trip this weekend ( http://www.michaelb1.com ) and I don't feel like dealing with it for 6000+ miles. Rather than go through all the trouble of selling it and buying a new on...

Re: Do dealers trade seats?
yeah, I asked and they didn't go for it.
The guy said the low seats are in demand. Oh well.
He also said the low seat cramps your knees more.

Do dealers trade seats?
I'm getting my R12R serviced and I sat on another R12R in the dealership with a low seat. MUCH more comfortable to me.
Is it out of the question to ask if they would trade me my seat for a used low?
