loading an R1200R on to a pickup

Saw this on the web... it looked good to me. Although if I got a ramp and used it a few times the ramp might not be to bad.

http://www.spitzlift.com/ Easy to load my R1200R.

Re: Sport Screen vs no screen

Have a BMW sport shield.I got one first to protect the instrument cluster and discovered this shield let me ride at freeway speeds and up without having a death grip on the handlebars. I have no buffeting. You probably know BMW offers a short shield with the standard frame for shields. The frame for...

Re: Driving on mountain roads

.... I don't use my brakes so engine braking helps.... David, An interesting choice... why? Good brakes and hard braking make for faster times through corners. Pads and rotors cost hundreds of dollars; an engine costs thousands. My riding time is not great. Five years and 25k miles. However I ride ...

Re: H9 to used replace H11

Just a thought... seems like a h11 will fit a h9 socket. Perhaps switching the socket (fixture) might be do-able. If a good connection could be made.???

Re: Recommend Me a Helmet!

I have a Shoei Quest and it was noisey until I found the video websterize posted. IMHO...Now at freeway speed the sound is like a windy day. I often ride with the visor open to the first click, at freeway speeds and without ear plugs it's very loud and howls. The plugs take the high frequency out. F...

Re: Led tail light to replace OEM

Hi.. I have considered adding resistors to a led light and have looked for a light with a pattern visible from side and back. I found leds claiming to have resistors built-in and compatible with canbus systems.??? The link shows one of many on ebay and there are others sold by manufactures. It seems...

Hi Don C.,
Thanks for adding the color to the trim panel. It is exactly the touch I had considered. Looks good.

Re: Attempt at restyling

I like all the restyle pictures... the mix of orange and red looks good. I like the one shown here best. A change in the paint I had considered might add to the one below. The lateral trim panel has a seam just under the edge. I thought painting my bike orange around the sculpted area where the BMW ...

Re: Mad Stad Robo Brackets

IMHO seems like some kind of wedge on each side could be fashioned to tilt the shield back. Something akin to the mad stad set up using the plastic material like the Don C. block.

qfman.....the low and the high beam are the same.?? The plastic surrounding the bulb must be well thought out. Good job for BMW. My dealer (both where bought and where serviced) adjust the headlight so when the bright is turned on the tree tops light up. Must be a mountain / German thing. Harry... f...

Led tail light to replace OEM

I did a search for a post that pointed to a single replacement led lamp and couldn't find a real number or a specific place selling one. I can buy an led 1157 from autozone but I think the autozone light would cause a "lamp" error. Who sells a canbus compatible led light. There are quit a ...

I have read about putting or stuffing gas into our tanks that ...filling the tank to its max will leak if put on the side stand. Can't remember the thread. Before I found these bulbs I decided to go with Weiser Led turn signals. I reasoned the cost plus shipping would almost pay for each side. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/70/21060/ITEM/K-S-Technologies-Replacement-Bulb-for-Marker-Light.aspx These are cheap enough and if the right bulb sever...

The plate listed on ebay has a part number of 11 11 7 717 743 and max bmw shows that part number uses both hardware listed above. I have an email in for the seller. turn signal light number for auto

My turn signal light is out. I can buy a light for BMW from one (ebay) to four dollar (a dealer) and I'll have to pay shipping. What is an automotive light bulb for the turn signal light that a part house might sell? The actual part number is 07 11 9 905 337.
