Re: It's official - My Dealer is closing
Shame about DeSimmone. I grew up in Camden County and used to window shop and dream there back in the day. Hermy's isn't that far from me though. Eurosports in Coopersburg sells Ducati/aprilia/Triumph, and there are at least 4 Japanese dealers very close to me. The Valley seems to have more places t...

Re: Good news and bad news.....
He runs an exoctic car dealership so he has to honor the pending sale. He said he did this same thing when the guy bought a Jaguar from him, but he isn't going to wait more then 30 days since I want it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I wasn't going to pay for it outright but work out payments with ...

Good news and bad news.....
I went today to look at the 2002 R 1150 R I posted about on here. The good news it's actually a 2003 with just over 10K on it. Bad news he got a check for it 2 weeks ago. I haven't talked to him since the beginning of the month with all the snow we got here. He did say if this guy keeps giving him t...

I didn't mean to slight the Roadster by saying "light duty" touring. You have to remember my perspective. I have done 400+ miles on a race bike with a license plate.
I look forward to talking to the owner next week about this bike.

Re: Welcome New Members (and old) - Introduce Yourself!
I just found this thread, even though I have some posts in the R 1150 R section. I found this site from BMW Sport Touring which I got from SBN (sport bikes . net) in my quest for info on a 2002 R 1150 R I'm considering adding to the 2 bikes in my signature. If I do get the bike, I'm sure I'll lean o...

Re: Considering a 2002 R 1150 R......
Tyres, oils and God will generate a lot of debate here. Don't ask! Cheers. I realize that as a prime time regular over on SBN. :) I should have thrown out the caveat that I refuse to use anything french, so Michelins are out. Especially on a GERMAN bike! :D I run Pirellis on my Italian mistre...

Re: Considering a 2002 R 1150 R......
Thanks everyone. Hermy's is about 30 minutes away by car, or 13 minutes on the RSV-R. I'm guessing 20 on the BMW? :) I'm going to talk to him next week about it. It would be nice to have something for the back and forth to work runs. That is not the RSV-R's forte. She likes to run fast and hard all ...

Re: Considering a 2002 R 1150 R......
The one thing I was concerned with from the other forum was they warned me about 2002 R bikes have a catastrophic transmission output shaft spline issue that costs almost what I'm looking to pay for this to fix/replace. Any info/tips/thoughts welcomed. While this issue has been reported, and all wo...

Considering a 2002 R 1150 R......
....things to be wary of or check for? I was referred over here from BMW Sport Touring forum which I got from SBN. Yes a long and winding road in my quest for knowledge about this bike. I have a heavily modified 2003 aprilia RSV 1000R which is basically a race bike with a plate. I also have a 1993 K...
