I've been running a set from Beemer Boneyard for the last 10 years and they're awesome. They really come in handy when you need to do maintenance or even fill up the lawnmower in a pinch.

Pull the tank back off, reseat throttle cable in it's adjuster. reinstall tank. We've all done it.

Actually, it's slightly different than the anniversary edition. This is the R1100rl, which was only offered in 2001 from what I can tell. The main difference (I think) is that it doesn't have the stickers on the side covers and elsewhere, and that it's a couple of years newer. Also, here's a link to...

We've got an 80mph speed limit from my house to work, and traffic usually runs 85 - 90. If I'm commuting on the bike, I'll get just south of 40mpg, but that's with windshield, loaded bags, and moving at a good clip. I weigh about 210. If I'm cruising hill country roads ~60, I'll get mid 40's.

I've got the exact same bike. There is no grab handle, but the loop in the frame for the passenger peg works well for the purpose of getting it on the center stand.
