Re: 2k Mile Calif Road Trip

Sounds like a great time. Defiantly great bike.

While I wouldn't want to live in the Peoples Republic of California, I would like to ride there some time....

BTW, how much did your insurance go up? Even at over 50, mine would have tripled in price.
Yes, it went up. Well worth the "perma-smile".

I think with an S1000RR, I would be sitting in jail right now. Also, have you checked insurance rates for those things? I could farkle my bike several times over dealing with those kind of rates.

Yes, yes, and yes..... Still gonna be fun though.

Re: Changing tires today. Going to Road Pilot 3's

Few more thousand miles and I'm 100% satisfied. Might not be as soft as the OEM for cornering... have a S1000RR on order for that!

Re: Considering tank pads for my bike

Any body tried these tank pads? http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/motorcycle/R1200R/1250701.html The example photo shows them on a white bike, which is what I have, and I think they look pretty good But what I really want to know, is do tank pads make the ride more comfortable. I never ridden a bike...
