Re: Clutch slave failure
Maybe just the friction plate would absorb fouled clutch fluid and need replacement?

Re: Clutch slave failure
Thanks. The slave failure was all my own fault as I lost track of checking the fluid. Reposted in R1200R.

Clutch slave failure
Went to change fluid in clutch master cylinder and it was black. Changed the fluid with lots of flushing and rode for a while. Eventually, while riding suddenly lost all clutch pressure and had smoke from the engine. I assume the slave cylinder seal corroded and gave out spilling fluid into the clut...

Re: Throttle Hard to Twist
Happy new year to all.
Skylarmav1, did you get to the bottom of this issue? I think I have the same problem- too much effort needed to keep the throttle open. Bothers my wrist after a while.
Thanks
Steve

Re: WTB: R1150R rear seat cover/ luggage plate
I have a luggage plate if you mean the silver painted part that goes in the between the side rails bridging over the rear brake light. I don't have a seat cover.

Flywheel peephole cover fix
y'know that little PITA black plastic cap that closes the flywheel view port on the RHS behind the throttle body? Well I lost that little cap. So...I had replaced the oil fill-cap from the valve cover and kept the old one, so I took the cap from the old one, filed a bit off one of the plastic tabs t...

Re: Turn signal
Where do you recommend getting the looms that run past the headstock? I assume you mean to replace the wiring from the connectors under the tank going forward? Mine are pretty ratty and I would not mind replacing them at some point. Does that include the wiring that goes to the hand controls?

Re: Slight hesitation from tickover as you open throttle
Just saw your video. I sort of have a similar problem, especially if blipping the throttle AS THE RPMs NEAR IDLE. I have also almost had the engine cut out on me. One thing I notice on your video is that your idle is low - around 1000 RPM. I thought it was supposed to be more like 1200-1250 RPMs? Ot...

Re: Starter motor whine
Was it after hitting the ignition button to start the engine? Or just after turning the ignition key? If the former, I have no idea. If the latter, may be the fuel pump priming for about 3 seconds.

Re: R1150R Starting issues/Brake light flash
I know that there are two fuel lines with quick disconnects on the right side above the right cylinder. One is supply, one is return to the tank. Make sure they are not reversed. So by "the clock" you mean the actual clock - not the speedo or tach, just to be clear. That sounds like someth...
