Re: R1100s owner interested in a R1200R

I am the guy in Chapel Hill with the black R1200R :) I was kind of chuckling to myself when I reading through this. I was just coming to the forum to look at the pics thread (as usual). Welcome to come test drive whenever you are ready, I am not in a rush.

What tire Gauge you using?

Hey all, I am finding it hard to check or recheck air on my front tire because the valve is pointing inwards toward the disc break. I.E. I have burns on my hands if I have been riding more than 5 minutes. I have a hose on my air gauge so I can fit it in there, but not without touching the disc break...

Re: First 2000 miles on the R1200R review - A compromise to

To be honest when I bought my R1200R I was disappointed in the first few months. I thought I over payed for something and was thinking of doing a quick resell. My dad's buddy looked at some stats and then decided to go riding with me for a couple hours. He was on a Kawasaki, something like a ZX-14 t...

Re: Radar Detectors?

I ALWAYS have an escort8500 on my bike and in my car. I just mounted my escort on my new bike RTP1100 with marc parnes led block that is very visible day and nite. Best $59 bucks I spent on bike besides tires. Plugs into speaker jack and has saved me lots of bucks on tickets. I mounted it on lexan ...

they are actually made third party by a company called SHAD based in Spain. I just ordered a SHAD 49 for my rear case knowing that I can save a ton of money for the same quality.

Re: Need some help finding a top case

Do a search on 'Givi' and then on 'Shad' and you will get an evening worth of reading (with pictures) on top cases. I mounter a Givi E340 on the Beemer rack. OK awesome! I see multiple sites that sell GIVI in the USA. Where can you buy Shad cases here? I really like the look of Shad and Givi, but I...

Someone told me it could be the handlebar, and some...

Re: Need some help finding a top case

looks like i need to trade in my side mounting brackets, I just went to the dealer and he says I need the one that also allows the tail bag.. I think this sounds right? then I can use almost any tail bag right? Yes, those mounts give you the tail rack. The BMW cases just clip right in, with no addi...
