Re: Wiring Diagram

Take the tank off. Peal off the old aged wire sleeve and look for the problem, they are usually obvious. Then rewrap with the newer tape all you wiring.

Re: Log-in answer found!

I think I'm sticking with the Rotella 15-40 in all my Boxers, (five). Maybe on a long trip during summer consider a 20-50. When I do it's been the Valvoline motorcycle oil 20-50. 15-40 in the manual says it ends at the 95 degree I think were the 20-50 goes beyond. Actually the concern is more the ma...

The Galfer rotors and pads work well, much better than OEM stuff.

Re: Log-in answer found!

Just what the forum needed, another AntiFreeze thread. I switched to Evans waterless Coolant.
Now how about that Oil you using.
I'm currently going with the Rotella T4 15-40 but sometimes in hot weather wonder if I should change to a 20-50 wt., not available in the Rotella.

Re: Do we need more users?

I always check this site daily, seems to me just a hand full of viewers these days.
It's not a user friendly site so I don't see a lot of new uses coming onboard.

Re: TOR or MOA Meet-Up

I've never actually done TOR but rode by it once when I was on an extended ride. I was wondering what all these BMW guys were doing there, found out about it later on. Sounds like one of the better events for a Meet-Up. I love riding in Colorado, not sure all the passes will be open.

TOR or MOA Meet-Up

Anyone here making plans for next summer. =D> Over on the Pelican forum the 1100S guys are talking about a Meet-Up at the Top of the Rockies Rally. [-o< A few of the guys on that forum have 1150R's also so it would be natural to see the 1150R's meet-up with them too. :-k If that doesn't work out may...

Re: Gear Oil Choices

Use the regular heavy stuff. Synthetic makes for a lot of noise. I tried it thought my trans had gone bad, called my dealer friend and he said right away get the synthetic out and use 90wt. Hypoid, period. Noise was gone after the change back. These are very noisy to begin with. FYI- The Red Line st...

Re: Memories......

My introduction to the R1150R was somewhat of a surprise. I had had a R1100GS a 96, bought it with few miles from a divorced wife who got it in a settlement. Funny the divorce was over the bike, the husband said the bike stays or you go, she ended up with the bike. It only had a few miles on it and ...

Another self imposed problem with the well-nuts is overtightening them.

Re: Hyperpro Shocks

They are all about the same pricing for a quality replacement. I think you'll fined HyperPro, Nitron or Wilbers still available. Probable around $2,000 for front and rear.

I'd suspect all of the above. Double check the hose clamps not being tight.

Re: Hyperpro Shocks

I think most all the manufactures make the rear shock replacement with the Hyd. Adjuster on it. I recently bought some custom Ohlins for my R1100S and it was spect out with the remote Hyd. Adjuster but as an option it could be deleted, wasn't that much of a savings so I got it with the Hyd. adjuster...

Re: Hyperpro Shocks

Nitrons look really good. You need the remote adjuster on the rear if you change your weight with luggage load variation or adding passenger weight. If you always ride with the same weight you can set the preload/sag once when installing, then wouldn't need it.

Can't say anything about your problem. I do know Odyssey Batteries aren't what they use to be a few years ago. I've switch to a new brand which has been very good.
