Re: I just retired...

I'm glad that you're on the road to complete recovery with no permanent health issues related to your accident. Yes, in agreement with all the sentiments posted, who knows when we'll all have to make that decision to put down the kickstand for the last time…………I just hope I exhibit the same wisdom, ...

Re: Anyone drop/crash their R12R whilst with BMW cases fitte

I had a low speed crash (reported here several months ago, accident occurred august 6th), and upon impact with the road surface, the right oem BMW case popped off of the moto. The good news is that the BMW case created a safe zone for me. I only sustained a bit of road rash and bruises.......the mot...

Re: moto accident

Thank you to all of you that wished me well! Yes I'm counting myself very lucky, I had x-rays done of right hand, right elbow, right hip, showed no broken bones, lots of contusions, scrapes, seroma on the hip, bursitis in right elbow> but I'm on the mend, and I am feeling well.

Re: moto accident

Hi Bill, Don't mind sharing more info re: moto accident. about 3:15p.m., coming from I-270 spur on to Cabin John Pkwy towards DC. I'm sure you're aware that the Clara Barton Pkwy is ONE Way coming out of the city after 2:45p, the driver was in a 2012 Ford Focus, a small car, thankfully. He was comin...

moto accident

Unfortunately, I was struck from behind in Maryland (if you are familiar with the area, the MacArthur BLVD exit ramp off of Clara Barton Pkwy, to be exact) two weeks ago. Thankfully, traffic was moving slowly, and I was wearing my protective armor, sustained minor bumps and bruises. My 2011 R1200R, ...

Welcome aboard Mike,
I'm in DC, congrats on your new ride. I'm a year 'round rider as well, and will ride all winter, regardless of temp, with one caveat, snow/ice. Drop me an note, if you'd like to go out for a ride.

Re: Traveling from DC to Philly, Saturday morning,

It was a Fantastic Ride to Philly and back to DC. I dressed as recommended and was warm the entire way, even though the temp was 39 degrees when I left at 5:45a.m. this morning. On the ride back, the temps were in the 60's, great weather.

EZ Pass.

I have a motorrad jacket that has clear plastic window on my left sleeve, and I'd carry my ez pass in that compartment.

But my new jacket does not have this clear windowed compartment. Where do you all put your ez pass so as to allow you to "zip" through the toll stations?

My daughter is competing at Univ of Penn Track and Field Invite this Saturday. The meet starts at 10a.m. I was hoping to ride the bike up to Philly and back to DC on Saturday. My question, I just checked the weather, supposed to be sunny, but the day will start out at about 37 degrees, warming to mi...

Re: Paint protector/cleaner/polisher

So, are you all saying, that S100 is contraindicated for our R12R's? Is Griot's a much better, safer for the finish on our bikes?
