Speedometer
The BMW website says the R1200R has a digital speedo. Have they changed this for 2013? I have a 2011 model and its analogue. The photos for the 2013 model speedo like identical to my 2011.

MRA Vario fitting
I fitted the screen to my 2011 bike and am not happy with the fitting. The bars on the bike taper in circumference from the inside to the outside. Thicker on the inside, if you know what I mean. After a few rides, the handlebar fittings seem to loosen and need tightening. The fitting on the bars jus...

Re: Petrol pouring from breather pipe
Thanks for that. I did brim it. Took it out again for about 20 miles and no problems. Yes, a lovely day for a blast over the mountain.

Petrol pouring from breather pipe
This morning I filled up with fuel and road about a mile home. I parked the bike on an up slope and petrol poured from the breather pipe. It stopped after about 30 secs and it seemed to help when parking on a flat surface. Is there a link between a full tank and the fact that I parked facing up hill...

Re: New here
I have found the sport seat fine up to now but havent done any big miles yet so I will reserve judgement. The indicators auto cancel which is great. The little problem I have is the cancel switch which tends to get used when you have turned and are starting to accelerate so the right hand has two jo...

New here
Hi, New to BMW so the R1200R is my first. Have had the bike a few weeks now and some observations: 1. Fantastic engine and road holding. Really inspires confidence, especially cornering. 2. Looks great 3. Riding position perfect for me. I am 6 ft. with long arms and legs. 4. Mirrors blurring at spee...

Re: New here and touring screen question
I am probably being a bit lazy; sorry. I have done a bit of searching but many of the screens seem to come from the US and I was hoping to get some guidence from a UK perspective.

New here and touring screen question
Hi
Just acquired a 2011 R1200R. Delighted with the bike. It has a sport screen and as I plan a trip from the UK to Italy in May would like some advice on an appropriate screen. Not sure the sport screen woul be ideal.
Thanks
Jack
