And sometimes when decelerating from 40MPH and dropping down a gear or two the bike will stall/engine stops. I press the starter and i...

actually yes that's it..I switched it back and feels 90% better and the rest I think it's just getting used to a new clutch feel.

is there an Oil Cooling fan avail for 2011 R12R?

hey all, hope everyone is well. is there an oil cooler fan available for 2011 R12Rs? last summer my bike ran hot in sometimes not so hot weather. Oil change 800 miles ago seemed to help a little. Today I noticed the temp starting to creep up in 72-degree weather. Did a few searches but hard to find ...

All keys locked in system case :

After getting a great deal on 2011 classic from a great seller, I traveled an hour and a hal to pick up he bike. Owner left keys inside the systems case on the right side. Sadly he did not know you could lock the case with the key inside. In this case all the keys are inside the locked case. Even th...

Re: thoughts on 2011 Classic with $38K miles

pretty sure I still have it. It was for my 2009 and my mistake it's 12 years, not the life of the bike. But I just found this online.

Re: thoughts on 2011 Classic with $38K miles

Not sure about that. I think the original owner replaced them or that's how the bike was from the dealer. I prefer non spoked as I can use tubeless tires but I know what you mean. I had spokes on my R11R and loved them.

thoughts on 2011 Classic with $38K miles

Just made an earlier post about my 2009 R12R being totaled. My repair shop said , "Now you get something newer". I told him I love that bike. Perfect for the types of riding I do. I found a 2011 classic with regular/not spoked wheels. Black with the white stripe. Also has BMW factory "...

Cager hit me. 2009 R12R seems to be totaled

Happy to be mostly ok, but last sunday on my way to church, a Ford Explorer ran a red light and I went into his right front quarter panel. According to repair shop,it's at least $4k in parts, not including shipping and labor, so bike will probably be totaled. One front fork, tank and rotors , and st...

Re: weight with passenger

yes that's the feedback I was hoping for. Also called metzler and they said the Road Tec that I bought have a load rating of 1325 lbs including the bike. So even at 550 lbs for the bike we are under the limit of 1325. And very much aware of those things but always good to keep in mind.
Thanks all!

Re: weight with passenger

Thanks Coal but if you are 145 and carrying 25KG in luggage that's still below the max weight..I just changed tired to Metzler Roadtec 01 a few weeks ago. I guess my question still stands that at 237 KG or so we are over by 30 lbs. Any dangers to the bike riding with this type of load?
