Re: Oil Change questions

Will, You did the oil change right, but left out 8 ounces of needed oil. After you added some more you are now closer to the correct 4 quarts needed with a filter change (Maintenance Instructions book page 74) refill takes 4 Quarts with filter or 3.75 Liters, that could be the confusion. I read and ...

Re: Gas mileage sucks

I got 38 mpg when my cat code plug was disconnected, now I get 42 mpg with the Yellow cat code plug in place. I ride it like I stole it most of the time, my average commute is 6 miles fast (40-45mph) roads, 7 miles at 75 mph on fwy. tires cost more, fuel costs less, insurance is only 10% of what my ...

Re: Clutch lube time..

If you have pulled the clutch disc out and looked at the trans splines, how deep do the splines go into the clutch hub? I have read they are about 5mm shy of complete engagement, causing some trouble. ABC puts in a custom disc he says costs $600. to correct this, I am wondering if there are any opti...

Re: unused

I would try:

New battery

2 gals new fuel

see what happens!

My LT had been sitting a few years WITH fuel in it, so it needed old fuel drained, a new fuel pump /filter and battery to get running.... no injectors.

2004 R1150R, NO abs, BMW calipers, speed bleeder numbers?

I find too many different answers when I try to look these things up.

I have NO abs, with BMW brake calipers front and rear. Has any body install speed bleeders here that can share part numbers?

I think the clutch will be a SB1010S, that answer stays the same, can anybody confirm?

Thanks!

Re: Idles, dies with throttle

My vote is for a split fuel line in the gas tank. any recent service history showing a fuel filter change? In any case it is a good time to change (or inspect) filter / hoses / o rings since this bike is new to you. beemerboneyard has filters / clamps / o rings, hoses are dealer only and about $60.0...

Re: Help needed: Wiring

that looks like a bosch sensor connector, according to my Clymer manual it could be a tank breather valve with those wire colors

no reference where that might be... canister related?

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8396/8647580446_f739c981dc.jpg I love the Odyssey batteries, the PC680 I got off ebay came with the brass "L" adapters, I only used one. The PC680 replaced an overfilled Yuasa wet battery, that messy thing had to go! I Keep them fully charged and have 8 years...
