Re: Is anyone ever here?
I still pop by at least once a week, to check in on what is happening on the board. I am still riding my '07 R, while waiting for it to sell (until then, the RTW stays in storage). I was wondering where everyone else had gone, though I do see the occasional name pop up on the MOA Forum. While I am a...

Re: FS 2007 R1200R Ontario, CANADA
The bike is still available; I tried the link, and it worked for me, but that could be just the nature of the beast. If someone is interested and can't open the link, please message me, and I can e-mail the pics to your address. Thanks for letting me know about this issue.

Re: FS 2007 R1200R Ontario, CANADA
I have uploaded pictures of the bike to my Fotki site. The link is : https://feeds.fotki.com/KenNesbitt/album_kqgsqddtgwqsk.rss In addition, the price of the bike is $7000 Canadian (although I would take $7000 US if I absolutely had to [-o< ). The deal may not be up there with the purchase of Manhat...

FS 2007 R1200R Ontario, CANADA
Selling my 2007 R1200R. It's been a great bike, but I have a chance to go to a different bike, and can't keep both. Colour: Black Mileage: 80,500km (approximately-I didn't write it down prior to disconnecting the battery) 80,000km service completed by dealer New tires (Pirelli Angel GT) installed at...

Leaving the World of R
Over the past four years, I have enjoyed riding my 2007 R, but I was always wondering what the next bike would be. The new RS looked nice, but I didn't want to give up my Telelever suspension and my comfy riding position. This narrowed it down to a GS or a RT, but the prices were still quite high fo...

Re: Shift Linkage Maintenance
I just wrapped up the rebuilding of my shift lever, as well as redoing the bushing and washer for the steering damper. If you are one of those riders who hasn't done these maintenance items before, and your bike has a few miles on it, it's a good idea to tend to it. The damper wasn't bad, but the sh...

Re: New to me R1200R
Congrats on the new to you R1200R. I bought my R with a pair of V35 bags already installed. Although I didn't put them on, the Givi mounts seem to do a very good job of holding it all together. And yes, the bags do clear the pillion pegs. I have never carried a passenger, so I can't comment on legro...

Re: Parabellum fairing anyone?
I bought my fairing and windshields from a board member, and have been pleased with it. I have been using my 10" shield most of the time, because I found that the 20" has two minor issues; some head buffeting while driving, and the screen blocks the flow of cooling air through the vents in...

Re: Turn signal extensions?
I solved my problem with the turn signal length. I had started to remove the bits for the fairing conversion, and decided to take off the turn signals; I can always fabricate a bracket if need be. I needed a 35 mm spacer on both signals in order to work with the fairing. In order to get a better ide...

Re: Any one notified of Fuel Pump Flange Recall yet?
The recall notice asks to pass along the information if you have sold the bike to someone else. Additionally, if you get service done, or bought a used bike at a BMW dealer, the information would be on file.

Re: Any one notified of Fuel Pump Flange Recall yet?
I just received my recall notice in the mail today. Hopefully everyone else will get theirs soon. Have you checked the letter closely? It could be the notification for the brake line recall 4-5 years ago. :-k I did check my notice to be certain, but the first statement on the notice was "Fuel ...

Turn signal extensions?
I am getting close to the time when I can access my bike and install my new (to me) Parabellum Scout fairing. When I have held the fairing up to the bike, though, it looks as if the turn signals will be partially covered. Is this an issue, or is there a way to shim the signals out for additional vis...

Re: What did your R12R or you get for Christmas?
My R now has a nice used Parabellum Scout fairing, complete with two screens, just waiting for installation. I'll keep it off, though, until I get the bike in for the fuel pump recall. Mind you, now I'm thinking about those Wunderlich clear hand guards; hmmm.... BTW, Don, very nice article in the la...

Looks like my first trip of the year has been planned...directly to the service department. I haven't had a problem yet with my '07, but why risk it if it is under warranty?

Re: Enjoying my new Sargent seat…
[quote="Marcin"]Nice, I have been enjoying mine for about 20K miles. I find it little slippery. Marcin, is your seat a standard height version? I'm looking to upgrade the seat on my R, and am looking for some feedback on a taller seat. I tried out the BMW touring seat yesterday, and it onl...

One of the few motorcycle magazines I pick up on a semi-regular basis is Bike Magazine from England. One of the more enjoyable reads in a less than stellar landscape of moto-mags (if it wasn't for BMW Owners News and Peter Egan articles, I probably wouldn't read most US publications, but I digress.....

Re: Top Case Suggestions
I currently have a GIVI v46 on my R, but it had a Shad 33 installed when I bought it. The previous owner had kludged the Shad base onto the GIVI pad, using a couple of strategically placed nuts and bolts. Unfortunately, it rattled constantly, and the nuts and bolts were in locations where it was dif...

Re: Looking for a part number for factory windshield
The part landed at the dealership today, and I can safely report that the part number listed in this thread is correct. However, after just completing a 1300 km trip, with plenty of slab running, the Scout fairing (as well as an upgraded seat) has moved up in the list of necessities...
