Re: Remove ABS - Dual Banjo at the master cylinder?
I removed ABS in February. 2002 model 100,000 miles. Bought Speigler lines and security bits for ABS module screws. I unbolted ABS module removed fluids caped hoses and then unscrewed brain and clipped wires for pump servos and the put module back in original position and did not cut any wires. for ...

Re: 2004 R1150R Fuel Leak Unique Situation?
It sounds like the overfill vent for the fuel tank line. Or the fuel canister vent line. They both vent to the right side of the bike. If the tank was full of fuel and heat expansion of the fuel vapors vent out of the fuel tank.

Re: Gear Selector Indicator
my tach broke on way back to richmond VA from green bank WV on highway 250. I used to be anble to tell the difference between 5th and 6th gear by the tach. I am at 94,000 miles on the bike and put 50,000 on myself. Now between 50-60 mph. I find myself pulling in the clutch to shift into 6th gear and...

Re: 2002 R1150R Sputtering
Maybe, start bike, put on center stand in neutral and then move handle bars left and right and see if any difference.. then dismount bike and turn handle bars left and then grab wire harness around forks and wiggle and repeat on other side. I did this when I had an electrical issue and bike would no...

Re: 2002 R1150R Sputtering
Have you thought about the hall effect sensor? I had to replace mine (the wires where green with corrision around the connectors under the fuel tank) the bike would run great then stall and not start. Then next day after night in the garage it would start the next morning. Maybe yours acts up when i...

Re: Riding in the rain.
I have a 2002 R1150R and I live in Central Florida and it rains almost 50% of the time. I have put 47,000 miles on the bike in last three years and have traveled in the rain for half the time. The only mechanical issue I have had is the Hall Effect Sensor (HES). It had corrossion near the connector ...

I have a 2002 R1150 R with 81378 miles. I have been riding it back and forth to work 132 miles round trip since March with no issues. I have previously replaced the hall effect sensor in 2015 at 74510. This morning I backed out of the drive and turned the ignition key to on and nothing happened? No ...

Re: Handlebar Grip Rubber
I was able replace my heated grips with part 7290612 for $37.95 for the pair from http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/motorc ... 90612.html
Wunderlichamerica has them My old grips came off easy and the new ones slipped on with no problem and the heating still works.

Re: sputtered and died...
I would reset the Throttle positing sensor. It is easy and takes one minute to do by turning on the ignition key (don't start) and fully open and close the throttle a couple of times, then turn off the ignition key.

Re: sputtered and died...
Also make sure you connected the electrical connection on the fuel pump when you put the tank back on and the fuel hoses are connected and not pinched.

Re: sputtered and died...
Try pulling the fuse on the motronic unit fuse number 5. it is a 10 amp leave out for five minutes then put in a new fuse. this should reset the unit. also check the fuel pump fuse number 6.
