Two Wheel Oklahoma TV Show
Greetings comrades, haven't visited in a while since I sold my R. As some of you may recall I was working hard to put a television program on the air called Two Wheel Oklahoma. Anywho, it actually happened and we've been airing half-hour episodes in Northeastern Oklahoma since early October. The res...

NAPA
Here's one vote for NAPA!
I mounted a $9 horn from the local NAPA to the existing mounting tabs. Had to cut the OEM wiring plug off but was otherwise painless.
BTW that's very clever sneaking them under the front fender!

My solution may not be the brightest, but I'd say it trumps anything suggested so far as acreage is concerned! http://cyclegadgets.com/images/RK-1_lit_sm.jpg I picked up a black Scotchlite kit from Cycle Gadgets last time I was in Eureka Springs. It's cut to fit system cases and is nearly invisible ...

Not a Motorcycle Movie
Few good flicks where motorcycle figure into the plot- but are far from being "motorcycle movies" These and a few more listed here on our web site.... http://www.places2ride.com/amazon.asp?z=Movies Danny Deckchair- nice Aussie flick with a sidecar rig rescued from a barn. Tao of Steve- ple...

You pictures have to be online already. The forum just LINKS to your picture. Re: Salvage Title 2004 1150R a Good Buy?
It might be a good deal if resale value isn't a big issue for you. Look over the valve cover/cylinder head closely on the damaged side. If you do buy it, and fix everything, take buckets of pictures. You know what's wrong with it now- you can see it. The next buyer will see a salvage title and assum...

Missouri State Rally June 26-28
I was curious if anyone on this board was planning to go. It's another one of those great events that isn't very well known. The town of Crane, Missouri turns over their city park for the weekend to the Springfield BMW club. More info at http://blog.places2ride.com/2009/06/37th-annual-missouri-state...

Just ran across this and thought I'd share. July 3-4 in Marble Falls, AR. It's put on by area BMW dealers and looks like a wonderful opportunity to abuse... er, test ride their latest livery. http://www.bmwbash.com PS- the Missouri rally in Crane, MO is next weekend. Someone please go in my place......

Looks like we're going to have great weather and a good turnout. Also have some cool swag to give away thanks to Cycle Gadgets, New Enough, Fox Creek Leather and more. RAM Mount AOK
I have RAM mounts on the clutch master and the RH passenger footpeg bracket that I use with a 3" arm. It vibrates pretty badly at idle and low speed, but on the road it works great. I use it often for stills too. If your camcorder has an anti-shake setting be sure to turn it on.

Prepare the Drill
Don't be surprised if the impact takes the heads off. After one did that I resorted to the drill- my logic was it caused less stress on the bike than smacking poo with a hammer. I've lost count how many bikes I've replaced the brake reservoir screws on. I have always used stainless steel and ...

Re: BMW topcase fitting question
I see their R fitting kit that mounts to the System Case grab rails. Pretty heavy duty stuff. But getting the GS System Case to talk to that would be difficult. But why bother? Compare the expense/capacity ratio and there are several top boxes out there that hold way more for half the money. Northea...

is much nicer than the early square box variety they offered. You can also find similar trunks on eBay that are pretty nice for the price.

Pederson?
Have a pohoto? I'm not familiar with a luggage rack made by Pederson. But it sounds like fussing would be involved. The GS luggage rack for the System top box attaches to the grab handle mounts. Unlike the R, the grab handle on a GS is an east-west arrangement. Plus the GS rack is not flat- it wraps...

Great Product
I had an Aeroflow on my GS and loved it. Except for cleaning the bugs off the top of my helmet... I'm personally not too crazy about the aesthetics of the unit they make for the R. But some people consider all windshields ugly. Sidebar: I recently bought an MRA Vario Touring and am quite happy with ...

Rasterbator Graphics Tool
I saw this mentioned on another site- sounds like a porno game. It's actually an online image tool that turns your picture into a huge Lichtenstein image. You can specify what size paper to use and how many sheets of paper- so you can make it about as huge as you want. It creates a multi page PDF yo...
