Sorry 'bout that. I think I got P/N: 93495A250.
The original ones were less than 3/4" long, so these were the closest.

AFDirt,
Excellent! How do you like them? I have a set I was gonna install, but the old lights are still working.

Re: No more Petri dish over my tachometer
AFDirt, You might want to try reversing the LED's in the sockets... yeah it does make a difference (polarity-wise), it's covered in some older threads. Aside from that, make sure the plugs are getting power (multimeter check). If all appears correct, maybe put power to the LED's to see if they work ...

Nice! I've only used Heli-coils, but am glad there's a reference in case I can only find Timeserts.
Thanks for the pictoral.

Re: New Horn Recommendation
I installed a Stebel Nautilus Compact last year. It's one of the best safety upgrades I've done to my bike! It will also fit in the stock horn location, you'll just need to fabricate a small bracket for it.
Good luck with the search!

My Grandfather had an electromagnet to de-gauss watch parts, so I used that. Worked GREAT!scottybooj wrote: Remember using a magnet to clear the tapes?
Even if the tape wasn't the one you intended to de-magnify (or was just a little too close).

Commodore Vic-20 with the Data-sette. [A cassette player that (VERY slowly) loaded programs from a standard tape.]

Thanks Mark,
I'll see about getting one of these modified by the local machine shop. (They do good work and charge next to nothing.)
Thanks again!

That's a nice solution...
I was wondering if I could get the measurements, outside diameter and how far down/up the socket you ground for clearance.
Thanks
John C.

Re: R1150R transportation - Van option?
It's do-able, I loaded my RR in the back of a smallish Ryder Box van. One of the best things I can suggest is to get the best tie-downs you can afford. Length and capacity are the most important criteria for selecting tie-downs. I'd recommend the ratcheting type as apposed to the friction-type tie-d...

Re: Horn relay question
The problem is the stock wiring. It's waaay too small to handle the amperage a Stebel (or anything aftermarket for that matter) would require.lionlady wrote:Regarding an OEM relay... so why not just get a relay from a known producer of electrical stuff?

Here in NoDak, forty is my normal temp cut-off. I can get away with riding down to mid to low thirties, but prefer to not push my luck. (Snow and ice are scary on two-wheels!!!) However, when I do ride at the lower temps, I wear an Aerostitch Darien (3/4 length) jacket with heated liner and Aerostit...

Re: What's this lamp for?
After a little research (very little), I may have found something that'll work. This shows it's for "LED replacement bulb module for the Parking lamp in BMW headlight assemblies." http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?Item=RV This "should" limit current draw and have a...
