I had my cables and box replaced @ 35k, a year ago. On a ride today, I noticed that the grip needs a little nudge to to return to idle. Any ideas?

I took my 1y/o to me 04 1150r w/ 35k for a catch-up comprehensive service a couple of months ago. My mechanic twisted the throttle and recommended a new cable. I had one go on my 99GS w/40k. A good rule of thumb is to run it +/- 500 rpm of 1/2 red line.

They go out-of-round over time, but are cheap and easy to change. I had the metal type on mine but changed back to plastic, upon my mechanics advise. The metal type are secured with set screws that could cause problems if a screw fell out inside your valve cover.

Angel GT's came off my bike. I really like the feel of the PR4GT's, but I'm just an old man on a beemer.

It's a metal cap that takes an 8mm allen.

When attempting to add engine oil, the filler plug just spins. It's the type made to accept an allen wrench. Before I pull the valve cover, am I missing something here?
