Dwayne BMW is no Honda when it comes to customer service but I cannot even imagine even for one second that they would even remotely give you a hard time regarding warranty issues for using a K&N filter. My local dealer doesn't agree with your statement. They are a Honda dealer first, BMW secon...

I'm 6'3" and use the Sports Shield. I prefer its look over the Touring version. It does a great job of keeping the wind blast off of my chest and I can ride for hours comfortably. It does dirty up the air a bit around the helmet but only regarding wind noise, no buffeting. I've heard the tourin...

On my way back from a 3 hour ride thru the country I stopped by a Yamaha dealer who was having an open house. I wanted to look over an FJR and a FZ1. When I was leaving this 20 year old kid who details their bikes walks out, sees my engine and says "wow, is that a turbo-charger :smt103 "? ...

Can anyone recommend a decently priced portable headphone amp? I just got a Sirius radio and it doesn't put out enough dB to enjoy the music. I'm using Sony Noise Cancelling ear buds ($99) from Radio Shack that do a good job of reducing wind and road noise. I've seen some cheapies (Boostaroo) $30 an...

How about this can?

It's on the new Moto Guzzi Griso. Hang it on your R1150R and watch it tump over like Fred Flintstone's car with a slab of Brontosaurus ribs hanging on the window!

Mr. Jugs - Sadly, I never saw their demo trailer. I don't think it was at the Houston show. OK Jugsie, since there was no Triumph trailer at Houston, anytime you want a test ride on an S3, let me know and I'll meet you halfway between Houston & Fort Worth and we'll take care of that! Bring some...

Darth, I understand about marketing on a budget and I really like the direction that Triumph is taking with their products. I like their strategy of focusing on the strength of the triple and avoiding head to head competition with the generic Japanese fours. I'm a big fan of their new models and was...

Houston Motorcycle Show

Hey guys, I haven't posted much lately due to some overseas travel and catching up at work and home. However, I thought I'd pass on my impressions of the Houston Motorcycle Show that I went to today. Most manufacturers were there but it wasn't as large as I thought it would be. Suprisingly, not that...

Good news from the west side of Houston. Walked around the house this morning and saw no damage. Still windy with light rain. When we realized that we couldn't get out I made provisions for the 4 of us to sleep in the master closet for the most protection. Turns out we all slept in our own beds. We ...

Thanks for the well wishes. Looks like we're going to ride this one out since we can't get out of town. I've had two neighbors return home this afternoon after leaving at 3am and traveled only 25 miles! The state is trying to open all lanes to outbound traffic but it may be too late. Many people are...

I'm packing up the wife and kids and heading off to San Antonio this weekend. I live on the west side of Houston about 60 miles from the coast and the weatherman says we should see 100+ mph winds here. No way I'm staying with that kind of wind plus the tornados that these storms spawn. I'm now tryin...

Hey Andy, Lighten up, its all in fun. If you can't take a joke then just move on... If a Teletubbie had any attributes of a dead cow (food/clothing/buzzard food) then that would be its first positive contribution to society. I'm a native Texan and therefor obligated to drive a pickup (2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew). I just recently bought my wife a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder and am very pleased with it. Fastest SUV I've ever owned!!! It has the 4.0L version of the 350Z's 3.5L engine...

The Texas Legislature never considered it this past session so its not legal yet (if ever). Several threads on the Two Wheel Texans (twtex.com) board about it.

You can replace the Duc with any number of inline 4 sportbikes or...........
replace the RT with a Yamaha FJR1300 sport tourer with 140hp inline 4 which can haul a$$ one up or haul a$$es two up!

My 2 cents (which u asked 4).

I'm 6'3", 235lbs and use the Sport Screen and my only discomfort is the increase in noise level. No sore neck muscles but I'm kinda thick necked anyway. No buffeting but the air is dirty, considering the Laminar Lip to clean it up.

How's the flyscreen for keeping wind off your chest?
