Re: Forum Functioning ?
I'm little by little planning on farkles for my new to me RT. So I'm still here. Any of you guys have any insight on approprite LED substitutions for the H3's and H7? Wayne At the risk of going off-topic for the OP, and with the disclaimer that I have no financial interest in the following, and lit...

Re: Forum Functioning ?
Not as much as some of the other forums. But, with the COVID inhibition on travel, and the lack of destinations as a result, riding is less. But there has been time to install some improvements on the R1150R, and the rain should let up tomorrow on this Memorial day weekend, and likely will be on the...

Denso iridium spark plugs
Denso makes an iridium plug for the BMW series, including the R1150R. K22TNR-S standard plug, and the IK22 iridium power plug, which claims to offer some improvement during acceleration due to increased combustion and lower required firing voltage. Wondering if anyone has had experience with Denso i...

The replacement relay I bought is yellow instead of the original black. Same part number.

Re: Load relief relay issue in a 2002 R1150R
The load relief relay is in the underseat fuse box. Can't load a picture easily here form my computer, so I apologize for the following: There are three rows in the fuse box. The back row is for the fuses, and the front and middle rows are for the relays. On the front row, left side there is a large...

Load relief relay issue in a 2002 R1150R
I thought I might have to examine the wiring harness for faults, because I couldn't solve the multiple electrical problems with the 2002 R1150R. After multiple recent modifications, the headlight would not work, nor would the turn signals light. The emergency blinkers and the heated grips were out. ...

Re: Improving 2004 R1150R: AF-XIED vs ReCyclizer, +1200 injectors
Appreciate that, ctRrider. Mine is a 2002 single spark 1150R and it does have the AF-XIED added. On top of numerous other things, including throttle body replacement on the right and a Bing rebuild on the left. What setting do you have on the AF-XIED?

Re: How do you handle stopping on an uphill slope?
Thank you for your responses. It's not a "one size fits all" thing, I know. Going to implement the suggestions. New clutch on the bike, along with a fair number of other things done. I want to take care of this bike.

Re: How do you handle stopping on an uphill slope?
The MSF course I took emphasizes keeping the bike in first when stopped, to enable a quick start when needed. Of course that was a smaller bike, wet clutch, and level ground. I appreciate the replies. On occasion I have put the right foot down on the ground behind the foot support, and let the bike ...

Re: How do you handle stopping on an uphill slope?
Have considered that, and thank you. Is there a downside in this bike with a dry clutch, keeping the clutch engaged for a relatively long time in traffic?
Will it wear the clutch out too quickly?

How do you handle stopping on an uphill slope?
There was a time when it would be embarrassing to ask this... but not any more. Started with a 150 Vespa, then a 300 Vespa, which actually moves along fairly well. In the garage for a few years now is my brother's 2002 R1150R with about 26k on it. There's been a moderate amount of work and funds exp...

Re: My Laminar Lip blew off!
Based on Ron Prior's note, I installed the Wunderlich air deflector on the BMW touring screen (02 R1150R). Its more to look though and around, but there is a noticeable improvement, at least for me, in wind noise and a major reduction in helmet buffeting.

Re: My Laminar Lip blew off!
Could you relate how it was with the lip and now without? I have the touring windshield on an 02 1150r and had a several hour trip this weekend - highway at about 75-80 and back roads as well, albeit slower. I had replaced the original with an identical one made by ZTechnik (who I understand manufac...

Re: Where to buy injector O-rings on net?
Likely many places available to you. I've used A&S BMW Motorcycles in CA, for some time, and have been quite satisfied with them. On their web site, you can bring up parts diagrams, blow up the images, and see precisely what you want, and get the part numbers and prices. Off their site: Phone 91...
