Re: Ahhhhhh.........

After the intra-ocular lens implants implants, my vision is so perfect that my expectations of night vision are were way to lofty. My night vision improved dramatically, but it is not what it was when I was 20, ......well, I guess that I have to accept some concessions with advancing age. I do not h...

Re: Ahhhhhh.........

Intra-ocular Lens Implants is what I believe that they are called. Quick, painless, permanent, and great vision. Didn't help a great deal with night vision or x-ray vision, though!

Re: Lane splitting

Boy, watching that video sure tightened my spincter a time or two - that was almost as thrilling as a short fast ride. BoxerMania - I too, was amazed at the lane splitting in CA and asked a few folks about it. The word that I got from CA folks is that it is Legal in CA (within the speed limit and th...

Re: Clutch spline failures - Let's get serious

JohnnyS1 I am so sorry that the outcome of your case was that YOU MUST PAY for a Spline failure that SHOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED! If I were you I would utilize every media touchpoint at my disposal, some of which you mentioned - Certainly this forum, letters to BMW, getting BMOA to publish something, B...

Re: Clutch spline failures - Let's get serious

C'mon Guys; Enough with the smart comments and the life history of every BMW that you owned since the 80's. LET'S HAVE DATA! Boxermania is trying to do the right thing and gather DATA on ACTUAL Spine Failures. This is a great first step!! With some actual numbers (which will be a very small snapshot...

Re: Disaster!!!! (I think)

MikeCam; Very well said and a sad but true-ringing commentary on most of Worldwide Corporations these days. You can forgive me if I thought for a moment that reputation would be a critical part of BMW's value equation at the Highest levels and that they would step up and cover major and troublesome ...

Re: Disaster!!!! (I think)

Sorry for your problem, Johnny, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes for sure and I hope that your end result will be that you have a MC that you can ride w a great deal of confidence, BMW or otherwise. As a new R1150R owner this year (2004 model acquired used) this Spline Situation is a bit troublin...

Scotty;
Just pretend you didn't see'em.

Was that you doing a stationary burnout in the parking lot at the Grand Canyon of the east at the Bash?? Maybe that shortened your tire life~~~~
