I saw a BigDog for sale at Bloodworth BMW today in Nashville. Not a chopper but a nice looking bike just the same. I also liked the black R1200R w/white pin stripping. Do any of you have the extra 11k I need to trade my '02 RR in.

If you drill a small 1/8" hole at the end of the crack it will stop running. An old aircraft trick.

I wish I had the new ABS on my '02 R1150R. Being glad you bike back end came around as you came to a stop is a far cry from the thrill of your back end coming aroud at 30 and having to release the brakes to try to control the bike. That kind of fun can kill us. Almost killed me twice. Enjoy.......

Also, the scotch locks are about 5/8" in dia. Is that the factory size? Thanks

I too have stopped at the local dealer to check out the new R1200R and was asked to take it for a "ride". I declined. It would cause me to feel my RR was inadequate. My '02 is worth 5K+ a little so the difference would work out to 10K+ taxes which I don't have and would rather spend on a 1...

I dont trust fuel gauges till you know where the hand points when your out of gas. With the RR just zero out the trip mile and like everyone else says your ready for gas after the lite is lit. IF your reading over 180 and the lite is off get gas anyway.

I find it a hoot when guys worry more about the use and/or abuse of a motor vehicle they are considering than they did with the woman they married.
