Re: My recommendation for headlight bulbs
I picked up a bike specific HID kit just before Christmas... Longer life, less power usage, much less heat and no filament to get damaged... And of course much, much brighter! I'll be installing in a couple of weeks so we shall see what the difference is like. First, I need to pick up a new RHS oil ...

Re: OEM Crash Bar for R1150R
I got a set of the Wunderlich bars a few months ago, they seem very good. Nice looking and well engineered. They were a bit of a PITA to install though...

Setting the Clock on an R1150R?
OK, had a bit of a weird day yesterday. I was hooking up a connection for my Garmin and an Autocom Pro Avi set via the power socket, tested each individually, both worked fine. Set them up via a Y lead from the socket, Bam, blown fuse (Although it took me a while and a lot of cursing of Autocom and ...

Re: R1150R finally bought! Now the questions begin...
Thanks for the replies guys, few more questions... I'm picking up next week, is there anything I should be looking out for especially? I've heard about checking the wiring loom at the headstock for chafing and the fuel disconnects for leaks, would there be anything else recommended beyond the obvious?

Re: Shifter rubber
There's a couple of tip replacements might work for you, supposed to give better feel and grip on the lever too. Wunderlich do em, I'm sure there's others too...

Oops, didn't realise I was comitting sacrilege! I think I could probably grow to love the beak... might take a while though! Tbh, I was seduced by the wunderlich bits catalogue. Maybe after riding around for a while I won't mind anymore ... :) Hawkman, as far as I can tell, the mounting system is di...

R1150R finally bought! Now the questions begin...
Hi all, been lurking for a few months now, but thought I'd say hi now I've made the commitment! After research and reading here a lot of owner's experiences with this bike, I finally put a deposit down on an 03 R1150R with 7,100 miles on the clock and a heap of extras :D Picking her up 1st of June h...

Re: Looking for opinions on CycleShell/Shelter covers?
I've got the Bike Barn folding cover it's been great at keeping the Irish weather off my bike. It's a very good piece of kit, but if you can fit a shed, I'd go for that instead. If not, it's a great alternative!
just google bikebarn to check it out.
