Is there any way to figure out exactly when the bike was built? Maybe by VIN? There's a black sticker on the upper back of the fork (throttle side) with the manufacturer date and VIN. Mine says "MFD 0908", so Sept. 2008. You can call BMWNA about any recalls on your bike. They'll ask for t...

here is one more for you guys to chew over.. About 3 weeks ago I started experiencing a brief (less the 1 sec) when going throught the gears in hard acceleration. This was especially bad if you crank the throttle open in 6th gear....the bike would start to accelerate but all of a sudden it feels lik...

great report.....i have been using SmarTire unit for more then a year now and it is very simular to the one you are describing. it has saved my butt 2 times already....once while riding 2up....this was the best safety purchase i have made for the bike....i think these systems are a must for any bike...

i let my friend, who had a few too many, sit on the bike. as i turned arround he decided to get the side stand up to see how heavy the bike is i guess....down he went on the driveway as i was standing there with my jaw dropped.....i was more pissed off at myself though....should have known better......

....go test ride it.....just make sure you bring the check book..... r12r is light and easy to handle.......with your hight and inseam you should have no problem flatfooting it with the low seat.....once you get it, your SO will want to borrow it all the time......... .....so.....get it and enjoy it...

The service manager had no explanation of why this happened or how to prevent a repeat. But he was SURE it wasn't covered under warranty! The clamp was in place but they replaced it anyway. this is weird......everything should be covered under warranty for 3 years accept for the normal wear and tea...
