Re: Starting problem

I do hear the buzz when I squeeze the front break leave but no buzz from a press of the rear break peddle. A...

Hit the start button nothing not even a click. I have tried using the start boost with the ignition on and did get clicking ...

Old new rattle

Ok you know how sometimes when doing a hard stop the oil in the engine sloshes around and you get a the rattle noise. Well I'm getting that noise when running up around 4-5k rpm. I wear a fullface and ear plugs but I did a quick run to the parts house around the corner and put on my half helmet, i'm...

Continental Conti Input

Caught short on my Ozarks ride last month and was in need of a rear tire. Suzuki Yamaha of Hot Springs (good guy's BTW) was the nearest place that had the correct size but not my preferred Michelin Pilot Road 2's or 3's and that was the "Conti". So far it's been good, haven't notices anyth...

Re: Fuel sending sensor

Anyone know for sure on the '04 model on/off or graduated? I figured on/off for sure because of the light but thought maybe it's a graduated signal to the computer then an on/off to the light. If it turns out that it's graduated then to the computer, I would intercept the signal before the computer ...

Re: Rear Brake Rotor Replacement ('04 R1150R ABS)

Guys thanks for all the input. I cheeped out 55 bks and went with a good used rotor from "PinWall Cycle Parts" Now for brake pads there I'll stick with OEM but which one should I go with. OEM found at http://search.ascycles.com/search#w=r1150r%20brake%20pad I see ABS specific but what is t...

Re: Rear Brake Rotor Replacement ('04 R1150R ABS)

Pretty straightforward job, be sure to properly re-torque the hardware. I've never replaced a disk but a buddy at work (mostly Jap bikes) to me that it was a pita braking loose the mounting bolts on the ones he's done. Got ya covered on re-torque. So there's no loctite or such to worry worry bout o...

Rear Brake Rotor Replacement ('04 R1150R ABS)

Has anyone replaced their rear rotor?
Did you go stock or aftermarket?
Price and from who?
Is there a trick to removal or install?

Throttle Body Sync Tools

I use to use mercury sticks to balance the carbs, love it worked really well but that one is no more (got run over dang-it, don't ask) so I did the DIY thing and made my own. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n166/cohiba54/RemoteCoil/DIYManometer.jpeg Works Ok but kind of jumpy at idle and want to ...

Re: wind and noise abatement

If you wear full face helmet that is your shield anyway. As far as noise goes there is no replacement for earplugs: cheapest, fastest, and most effective solution. Good one vwdoctor, I'm with ya on that call! I rode all my yout and most of my adult years without earplugs untill about 15 years ago. ...
