Re: decision between k1200r and r1200r
Hi Mark, I traded my K1200R on a R1200R 18 months ago for the one simple reason that the head down riding position agravated my back and neck. I ride frequent 500 - 700k days with the odd 1000k thrown in. For example, last weekend Friday to Sunday did 2600k with 1000k on Saturday and the R1200R and ...

Dave, as an aside to the Wudo, those driving lights look also look great. Can you give a link to make and supplier please? Would also appreciate your advice on how you mounted them.

Re: Soon to be new R1200r rider
Isn't it interesting the number of ex K1200R owners now R1200R. I too was one however two things made me change to the R1200. Going a bit quick (NZ is hilly and twisty in the best roads and I was continually getting quicker between corners!) and its 'flickability' was heavy work. However saying that...

Who cares that they have not worked it out. Perhaps we should contend that the last R1200R = Renegade.

Re: Hello from another newbie
Hi Brian, Welcome - I also came from an R1200GS after 14000k, traded on a R1200R a couple of weeks ago, and even out this morning, 200k's in the rain and a sport screen I still prefer the R1200R.

Re: Another R1200R on the way
Hi ihosc, Good choice of bike. I've had ESA on both K1200R and on R1200R basically because New Zealand roads have such varying surfaces/bends/corners. Hi Guys - to say hello - have been watching and digesting the info you have posted on the R1200R. It has been very useful especially around the screen posts. I have just taken delivery of a 2008 Granite Grey R1200R (they go faster!), OBC,ESA, BMW bags, racks and rear luggage rack. RT Horn, and now a...
