Wow I love your Milleuono! Grate work. I take Bart to work so I do not really need a bike for commute. I will miss my R for touring rides, and my girl friend will never put her precious butt on the Tuono little hard seat. I bought the Tuono, because I want to get some riding experience on the track....

Some pictures

Hi guys, Here are some pictures I took today. Its been a perfect day for a ride. I went to La Honda and Santa Cruz mountain. Wow this bike is so fast. The engine still scares me at 8000 RPM but the bike changes directions very quick and on the same time so stable when leaning. Check the pics: http:/...

It's great to get tips for Aprilia over a BMW forum :D I got my airbox derestricted and I also removed the baffle from the pipe. I changed the front sprocket for 16 (I might change the rear to a bigger one as well). I will try to tune the suspension. The front is a bit too stiff but the rear is grea...

I Just been to the motorcycle show in San Jose. What a disappointment!!! BMW did bring any of the new bikes not R1200S not the new 800. They had fewer models than the SF dealership.... In Ducati it was even worst....I was hoping to see the hypermotard, but all they have was their already known lineu...

Rockster bars on Roadster

Ok, so I'm looking for a street fighter position. I ride aggressively and I would like to have more control and steering power. I consider switching to the Rockster bars. First question: Are the Rockster bars actually wider? Second question: Can I just switch the handle bars or should I need to get ...

Did any of you consider a wider handle bars to get more control. Most of the naked bikes have an off road handle bars, maybe this can help to get faster streeing?
Some mentioned the Rockster handle bars are those bars wider??

Imporve Steering and handling

Hi Guys, Not too long ago I asked your opinion whether I should take my R115OR on a track day. Most of you think that the R can give me lots of fun on the track with the known limitations (soft suspension, weight, engine power). After great riding experience this week, I'm quite sure that I will tak...

My weight is 165 lb, and actually this Sunday i tried the 36 front and 39 rear. On the higheways it feels good and the millage per gallon is better. I remember that the bike was pretty jumpy on bumpy roads with more than 36 PSI on the front.

Tire pressure for Z6

I looked at one o the old posting about tire pressure. Most o you agreed that 36 front and 40 rear is a good start. The BMW manual shows 32 PSI front and 37 PSI rear or solo riding and 36 PSI ront and 40 PSI rear for riding with passanger. What should be the the tire pressure for solo rider on a spo...

Once you ride long enough you will hate the OEM seat and the person who designed it....I tried the tall seat, but I didn't like it. I got the Sargant seat. Its a little taller and wider than the original. Its also hard, meaning do not expect La-Z-Boy comfort. But its pretty good for 300 miles day ri...

Pinging & Octane questions

Hi all, I just had a 12K service for my dear 50R (2003 single plug) done by the local BMW dealership. I mentioned to the mechanic that the bike is pinging under pressure (high gear low RPM). He told me that the after the service the pinging will be reduced, and asked me to ride on higher RPM (above ...
