Does anyone have any experience with the Akrapovic exhaust for the R1150R? Looking for a good looking exhaust with performance and a nice sound.
TIA...Vinny

Hey Craig,
I live in Long Island just outside of the city. I would like to go but I don't think I can make it. It's at the Jacob Javits Center, right? If you need help with directions let me know.

flyscreen instal..Part II
I took all your advice into account. I bought a 6mm ball end hex key but didn't use it. I decided to make my own tool. I took an old 6mm hex key and cut it down to a 1.5 inch segment. Then I used a 1/4 inch ratchet and a 6mm socket with an extension. This made the instal for the right side bracket o...

Oil Cap
I know there was a post out there about replacing the oil cap for the look and to stop that dreadful sweating/leaking. Which one out there is the best. I know some have upgraded and are still dissatisfied.

Thanks guys. I will get my hands on a ball end allen. I think the original problem was getting it in perfectly straight. For some reason the left said went in like butter. I think what happened was it was not perfectly aligned when going in and it stripped a little. I refused to pull it out again so...

Wow. I've never been so frustrated in my life. I had to put the tools down and walk away. If anyone has ever done this please help. I tried installing the brackets. The left side went on ok. I hand tightened the allen bolt and moved to the other side. There is just so little room to work with. And h...

Hey guys, I don't think it should get to the point that someone has to leave a message board. Lets remember what they are for: conversation, exchanging information, camraderi, etc. I hate to see anyone be turned off from a site. The are rules and policies, like in anything we may encounter. DJ, and ...

Taking a break from the bike
Well, I didn't want to set the subject as "Rider Down" and scare you guys but I won't be able to hop on the saddle for a little while. Unfortunately I tore my ACL in my right knee during a hockey game on thursday night. I guess it was better to do it now during the winter months than the s...

Battery Tender..Deltran's advice
I emailed Deltran. There has been much debate about using the Battery Tender Plus on gel batteries, specifically on a 2004 BMW R1150R motorcycle. I have a Battery Tender Plus that I purchased in January 2001. I am hesitant to use it on the gel battery because I am not sure if it is the right one. Ar...

BMW Gel Battery Tender and battery question
Although I have the Battery Tender Plus and some say it is fine for the gel battery, I think I will purchase BMWs battery tender and be on the safe side. Does anyone know where is a good source to purchase this. Also wanted to double check that my bike has a gel battery. It is a 2004 ABS, probably b...

Getting to the battery?
I am curious as to how difficult it is to get to the battery. Unfortunately, I can't charge my battery the easy way b/c they say my Battery Tender Plus is no good for the gell batteries. I will probably get the proper BMW one and get ripped of but if it's for the good of my baby then fine. So, if it...

System cases
Does the exhaust need to be lowered in order to instal system cases. Are there different system cases to purchase depending on the type of exhaust you have. I have heard things about lowering the exhaust but don't understand why someone would do this.
