Bash

I'm in for May or June but prefer the May dates. I'm from Pittsburgh and will drink just about any beer but Iron City. There are some wonderful roads in that area for those of you on the fence.

Mike,

I'm not sure exactly I follow what you mean about all the morphing, or crossdressing or transgender bikes or whatever. But I wholeheartedly agree that my Roadster is really what it is.

Yong, Sorry about the finger and knees but glad you will be okay before long. I still always find it amazing the way things seem to go in especially clear slow motion in a high speed crisis or accident, and that the pain often isn't apparent immediately. I can only tell you that my flannel lined Dra...

Thanks Panzerleder. Unfortunately I have the same problem as Herb when it comes to keeping track of glasses. I've seen some nice RayBans and Savannas come and go. So if the cheap ones fill the bill, I at least won't mind replacing them. If they don't, I may have to break down for the triple digit sh...

Thanks for all the good recommendations. I'm starting with the $16.00 glasses Herb recommended. I'll save the other links in case they don't work out.

Cold Eyes

Does anybody have a remedy for cold eyes when riding at highway speeds in freezing or near freezing temperatures? I can be dressed well enough to be comfortable everywhere else, but when the thermometer gets near freezing and the speed gets over 70mph, the wind whipping around under my full face hel...

bmurphwa, Glad to hear you had a very similar experience as far as all's well that ends well goes. I too found it interesting how my thoughts were flowing as I was sliding. I've had a few other events where time abruptly starts moving in slow motion. I'll try to post shots of the gear, but they are ...

Oh yea, I forgot to reply to Breadman that it was a hacksaw. Boxer, if you think that was funny, you should have seen me start the project with a couple kitchen knives and a cleaver. The friend that took me back to the site didn't have any suitable saw. I'd never done that before and I suspected it ...

Thanks for posting the pictures John. Sorry about the poor quality. I wasn't taking them, not that they would have been any better if I had been. I will try to post pics of the the gear but camera and gear are in different locations right now. There really isn't much to see except multiple puncture ...

I have had two different regular pillion riders to give comparative opinions on both my RR and KR. One liked the panache and speed of the KR better, but admitted she was more comfortable on the RR. Biggest complaint against the KR was the sliding forward on nearly all stops. Passengers have to reach...

Yea, I agree with your advice. Since the collision I've seen countless downed deer all along the highways. But I've yet to see one as big as the one that decided to jump me at the exact worst time when the interval of passing cars was less than one every five minutes. Of course, if he jumped out any...

Craig,

I guess I wish I was in my Xterra (another theme??) because I love that bike, but with winter coming on, it's probably better the way it works out for me. Be careful on your RR in the cold.

R1150R Ten; Eight Point Buck Zero.

I had a little get-off on Thursday night and have been trying to get the photos to post but for a long story have been unable to do so. Bottom line is I'm absolutely fine, my dear roadster's life is hanging in the balance, and I have an eight point rack to hang on my wall without ever firing a shot....

2002 Atlanta Blue RR purchased as Demo with 205miles in June 2001. Now with 32,000miles. Dealer has done all routine maintenance on schedule. Switched to synthetic oils at 18,000. On third battery, the second No Maintenance Odessey crapped out in less than 10,000 miles. The only significant problem ...

I have the sport screen, which I like a lot and no center stand. You don't need it to check the oil like the RR and I have black rims, so I don't feel the need to wash them often like the silver on my RR, so I get by without a centerstand pretty well.
