Do you find they help at night? I have always found my 08 R to have rather poor lighting at night, especially on the low beam.

Any chance of a review or even maybe some photos of how effective the supplementary lighting is from the Weiser 2-in-1?

Well, for one, it would have to be a diesel bike?

I average around 42-44MPG. I've seen it as low as 16-20 MPG in DC's stop(mostly) & go(sometimes) rush hour traffic, but that isn't really fair.

Only because you mention kidneys do I say this but...are you getting up in a squat when you know you are gonna hit these things to absorb them with the legs? Helps a lot down here in DC...

When mine is hard to open I push down a bit a couple of times on the thing that is supposed to flap up when it unlocks. usually no problem then.

Pretty sure the standard small audio jack size is 1/8" and yes, the etymotics have the standard small sized audio plug. I've had a pair for a few years now for using on the subway.

Jameson: I got the O-ring grip set from Excel Cycle Werkes (and found it extremely comfortable; I highly recommend this inexpensive farkle). It included about 66 O-rings, which I split between the 2 grips. After about a week, as the O-rings bedded in, I removed first one, then two O-rings from each...

I'll second everything said above. I have the OEM panniers and would highly recommend them. Definitely waterproof! Another nice thing is that they can be keyed to be the same as the ignition, and one less key is always a good thing.
