Centrestand... I'm to fracking short to straddle on the fill-up. But, I do burp the tank to get the last few ounces in.

I am glad that a good time was had by all. I really regret that I could not make it, but it happens sometimes. I hope to make the next one.

If you are stopped in neutral and the bike won't go into first gear:
1. Pull the clutch in,
2. Push down on the shifter,
3. Ease the clutch out while still pushing the shift lever down

You will hear the clunk as it goes into gear. Have a safe trip.

Oneshot, You're not allowed to cancel. You now have to ride up on the back of Boxer's bike. He can pack camping gear and haul a passenger no problem. I've seen him do it. DSKYZD While I like the idea, I don't think Boxer wants to ride to VA on one wheel with a OneShot wheelie bar. Cheers!

The bike is still in the shop, and I will not be able to make the journey. I was looking forward to this trip, maybe next year for me.

Worst case scenario

If push comes to shove, Boxer and I can use the parts from both our bikes and send him up on the FrankenBeakster.
I'll stay back and ride my mountain bike in my yard through my sprinklers.(with my trash bag poncho, no lard)

ride in with Boxer, but my bike is still in the shop. Everybody please keep your fingers crossed. I would love to put some faces with the names.

BTW: Do I really need rain gear?

I also use the Battery Tender Plus for gel batteries. No problems in over a year of service.

It's just a plug. Don't know what goes in/out through there, but the good news is that nothing is missing. I've been looking around in the MAX BMW parts list and can't find anything.

Hasseled by the man

Just this past weekend I was stopped by the local police for taking a picture of a vintage county courthouse. This thing last saw its glory days in the 19th century, and I still got stopped by Johnny Law. It was one of those things where the town has literally 1500 people, everyone knows everyone, a...

armour option

Perhaps you could buy the Joe Rocket Riot Jacket http://www.newenough.com/joe_rocket_rio ... t_page.htm to wear under the jacket. I'm considering this jacket myself.

Lo-Buck relief

The last time I got in that stuff, I used Aveeno skin lotion with oatmeal, but i guess any lotion with oatmeal will do. Took the itching and pain down to a dull burning--much more bearable. Hope this helps.
