This is a Russell daylong I am talking about here
I think it is original to this seat
I definitely remove the original staples from it
Yours may not have needed the extra space
they are custom made

Yes wood
Got the seat Was able to ride it and found I need to add some padding in the butt area to lift the back of my thighs off of the front edge of the seat I assume if I would have bought it new they would have adjusted that I have some foam coming to fill it in after that I think it is going to work ver...
Hello Bogdan I live in the St Louis area I know of the Gateway BMW club. Of the people I have met that belong to it They seem to be good people They have the falling leaf rally every fall They moved it from Potosi Mo to down around Steelville but they still had it So i would think they are still act...

I just got the seat pictured above
It's a Russel Day long for $155 US shipped off of eBay
It does have a rip in the side but they are $555 + $70 (S+H) = $625 US for a new one
I figure I can take it apart and tweak it if I need to

I think the original posters are long gone
But anyway
The thread repair kits work very well if done correctly
The real trick is drilling the hole straight
Even though there is a pilot hole it can still be drilled crocked and if you do. It will cause alignment issues real quick.
Not sure how it could pull the valve stem core out
It does not attach to the core it only presses on it
Are you sure he didn't loose the whole stem
Was it rubber?
