Re: Aftermarket Exhaust
It is a close fit but Leo did it right. I have less than .5 inch clearance without any problems.

Re: Searching for an aftermarket Silencer for R1200R
I have the Leo and I'm very pleased with the look and sound. It is well made and has the clearance on the left system case no problem. You just have to adjust the pipes to get the correct angle on the case.

That's why I was lazy, didn't want to pivot the pipe as well.

Re: Purchased a Hugger. Now what?
When I put the hugger on I just loosened the lugs and was able to move the wheel enough to get it on. Not sure that made it any easier, I was just lazy and didn't want to pull the wheel all the way off.

Re: To all the windshield Guru
I'll give you my 2 cents worth as a new guy to the R1200R as well. I had a 21" V-Stream and the helmet buffett was crazy for me at about 6' and a 31' inseam. However my 5'6" friend took it for a spin and thought the shield was great. No buffett, quiet. I guess he was under the bad air. I w...

I didn't think anything would make them come back. It's called Honda metal polish, from the Honda dealer I assume. I'm impressed!

Ride both the 800ST and the R bike. I think you'll go for the R but I'm a fan of the R1200.

Not meaning to hijack the thread but I have an AXIO tail bag mounted on my top rack. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ScottSuff413/IMG_0997Small.jpg I mounted it there so it wouldn't be on my new redone seat. It's not the most straight forward thing to install. http://i19.photobucket.com/album...

Re: Question for all you windscreen aficionados
Has anyone cut a CalSci shield down to fit? My shield story is Sport to Z Tech V-Stream. It blurred my vision from buffet. Picked up a BMW tall mainly to get the bracket. It does alright but still more wind than I'd prefer. Next up is the large CalSci with buffet. The top of the shield is about mout...

Knoxville-Helen-Cherohala Skyway
Took a little ride down to Helen, Ga last Fri. and returned to Knoxville on Sat. Went down on state highways 68,123,129 and 75 since we went south of Helen. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/ScottSuff413/IMG_0952Medium.jpg This pic is outside of Helen on a short stop. Next to the R bike is a bu...

Re: Raingear
There is a bunch of rain gear out there that's good but I'll toss out as a good value, Frogg Toggs. It's lightweight, packs well, and the water rolls off. It doesn't go well against a hot exhaust pipe, as a friend proved on a wet day.

Re: after market slip-ons?
I've heard second hand that LeoVince makes a good pipe. I've been told to go Titanium with the carbon end cap for the best long term service. The EvoII in the following link looks nice as well as dropping around five lbs in weight. I believe it will be my slip on in the coming months. If you jump on...

Re: Oil Filters
Sorta on topic, what is a normal amount of oiled used during the first say 6000 miles? When is the RR considered broken in and shouldn't use any oil?

The one from Nippy should be under $500 with a good exchange rate but it doesn't have the height that the Scout does. Looking for anyone that has tried it for an opinion.
