AGV Helmets

DJ has it "bang on". The cheapo models are like cheapo models of anything: cheap  The "top of the range" models are a different story. Very good indeed. Make sure you "try before you buy" though. The cheek pads should feel a little tight at first as they "wear...

Good Grief  All that time/money/detailing (in my view) wasted! Nice neighbourhood though, those bungalows could be anywhere in southern England. Except the sun is shining! You must be able to "draw" your camera faster than a Wild West gunslinger could his "six shooter&quo...

Spoilers

DJ, if you look at the photos in your "Long Way Round" book you'll see the 'spoilers'on the 1150GS handguards. Marked with the "Touratech" logo. The standard handguards are rather small to provide much in the way of wind/weather protection (much smaller than the old 1100GS ones o...

Actually DJ I think Charley's involvement with the race team was as a sponsor rather than a rider----------------------- No matter though, the "Long Way Round" has certainly done a huge amount of good for our cause. Johnathon, dear boy, many happy returns for the other day!  :lo...

Brother Darth, you won't regret it, I swear. I shall sally forth into the darkness of this late Autumn night, armed only with a flashlight with failing batteries, to start constuction of the UK chapter clubroom. For the authentic look please tell me, who is the dirt track hero on the wall next to Ha...

Sure Johnathon, I don't see why we couldn't become a pair of 'peckers'.

Indeed our 'merican friends could then refer to us as "them two English peckers"

Unless of course they already do

One possible answer chaps, when I was last at SPC m/cycles back in the summer, they had half a dozen K1200RS models in full Police livery. All had far too low mileages to have been used for serious Police work. Story was they were demonstrators from BMW (GB) to loan to the various forces to try and w...

Don't forget guys, the fastest cornering GP bikes of all are the 125's, speed trap figures regularly have the tiddlers faster than the big 'uns  Furthermore they do this on skinny little tyres. Tell me again how wide you need your tyres to be

Well guys, I think it's Spanish alright (who else would do the left foot kickstart thing? - oh yes the bloody Italians!).

Pretty sure it's a "Bultaco Streaker" not at all keen on that razor edge styling myself, but it was all the rage back then.

Cheers all, Simon.

Acacia, you would have loved to have been at Cadwell Park in August for British Superbikes when the organisers laid on a "special treat" between races. Stuart Graham, former GP rider in the smaller classes, was turned loose for a couple of laps on the 297cc Honda 6cyl. Youngsters who had n...

Quite right Dave, Triumph have a new commercial director called Tue Mantoni (he's Danish) and he is one switched on guy. He talks a lot of sense and I imagine that the "Roadshow" not "Static-show" would be his doing. He is quite determined that Triumph should do what they do best...

Well Dallara, I think we should call that match a draw. As I didn't know Bridgestone made a single and you didn't know they made a twin it seems "honours even" to me. As I have not yet mastered the art of posting pictures (someone will have to explain in really simple terms!) I have ...
