I think that riding regularly is the only answer, having had both R1100 and 1150 I prefer the old 1100 seat and thats what i have on my R850 classic/comfort in fact the seat was one of the reasons I got rid of my yellowjacket and bought a new 04 R850R.

Check that you rear brake light switch is working properly mine was sticking and that caused the same problem.

Be careful, I recall having read that these connections are for charging only and should not be used for jump starting. Best check first.

Brilliant, thanks for all the links, seems like there is no problem removing ABS when the time comes. tinternet is wonderful no more fumbling about on yer own and being at the mercy of the local dealership. good on you all. Jetblack (phil)

Leno, that would be great but I think Dellorto pumpers would be better. What I am asking is if, when the warranty has run out and the abs packs up am I doomed to pay out a fortune to keep the bike going or is there a way round it. advrider very good thanks Sarah.
