Re: Forum Functioning ?
Well I've done some traveling and have found it pretty much as usual on the road. No restaurants (or only a few in the far flung places) but I grab a bite at the truck stops and carry on. Visit friends (the ones that are not afraid) and family. (about 4500 miles) Back in CA at the moment but will st...

Re: Plug Problems
Use a long drywall screw and thread it in dead center for a couple of turns. Then lube it up (WD 40 or oil) and grab the end of the screw with a pr of
pliers. I use needle nose vice grips and maneuver it in.
Gets easy w/practice.

Hope that fixed your problem.
I have a couple of extras, both black and never had to use on in 16 years and a bunch of miles.

Re: Load relief relay issue in a 2002 R1150R
Those small black relays in that row are all the same, and you can switch them around, might try that.
Looking forward the 1st relay (next to the bigger starter relay yellow I think is the load relief relay, its next to the horn relay.
Swap them and see what happens.

Re: Slipping Clutch - low miles
My first thought is the clutch is not releasing completely. If not leaking fluid I would ride it for a while being careful not to slip the clutch like maybe a good 100 miles down the road normal riding w/o going to the point where it slips. If that doesn't do anything you can pull the starter and ch...

Re: Headlight replacement tips on Rockster
The Rockster headlight... It has a wire plug connection which you just un-plug. Then there is the plastic? cap in which you remove by turning CCW. The first time I did mine it was stubborn and required a strong effort to get it off. ( I lubed it up with Vaseline when I reinstalled). Now its just a s...

Re: How is your day?
Been a wet March! (need it). I just talked to my old friend in GA and we are planning a meet up in Texas Hill country in April. He has two R1150Rs and a R1200 RT. We try and take a ride every year ,(at least one.) He is 86 this year. We went to the Bash in WV last year, what a great place to ride an...

Re: How is your day?
Scrubbed in the Shinkos in the high country yesterday and becoming anxious to hit the road for a long trip. Saw a couple of sport guys on the road. Today is raining and snow predicted tonight and for tomorrow in most of the places I went on my ride Sunday are under snow today. Hard to plan anything ...

Re: Ztechnik Engine Guards Will Fit Dual Spark Engines
I bought my '04 new and it has the plastic covers which I have always liked as in easy to remove/install and protects the plug hole to some degree. The crash bar stuff was handy on my GS (both 1100 and 1150) but have no desire for them on the rock. Have beveled both head covers on the track. The mag...

Re: How was your day?
First round of the motoGP in Qatar is CNX (but I think the 2 and 3 will still run. The second WSBK is toast also (strong rumor.) NBC sports has taken over broadcast of the WSBK and motoGP in the states(won't be live..ugh!!) and I'm not sure about moto America superbike. (Used to be BiEN sports and t...

Re: How was your day?
That would be good! The Fueling 150 ci 3 cylinder W3 is going to be the highlight but they have a cubic inch limit of 131" (2174 cc) and the W3 is too big. I saw the rules and they have other restrictions and right now they are trying to keep it as stock as possible, but racers are racers! Ther...

Re: How was your day?
I talked to the Feuiling guys today and many are wanting to put rear sets on and 17" tires (as in sticky) and beveling the bags for more clearance! I think it will be good to get the HD guys interested in racing like this but if they let them mod the bikes more than just taping up the lights an...

How was your day?
Well just finished a complete maintence check on the Rock and new Shinkos. All is well and I'm ready for the riding season to start. TX hill country, North Georgia beemer rally, Black hills, and a couple more I'm sure..probably around 20 K this year. Got rid (donate) of some old riding gear and have...

Re: How do I Deal With This 5k RPM Idle?
Well it just about has to be something pertaining to your recent maintence. If one of the throttle bodies is stuck open to any degree it would be hard to start, sort of when you try and start holding a bit of throttle instead of the cold start lever. Might check that the start lever is working prope...
