Re: knocking noise in clutch

"The fellow I bought it from decided to fix it and replaced the whole clutch." He replaced the clutch. Just like that. That's a big job, taking apart the whole engine and gearbox. He really did that job? "The result was no difference, same noise." That's a waste of time and money...

Re: Givi 076-SR683 mount question

I've got the Givi rack, you described above. It does need the original BMW luggage rack. I don't know what kind of rack you have. Is it a third party or the original BMW rack with the passenger handgrips sawed off? But ever considered a second hand set. You can get the Givi rack for just € 40 at htt...

Re: Has anyone seen or attempted to fit an RT topbox to an R

If you're looking for a bigger topcase & mounting rack ? I bought the Givi topcase rack http://www.motorcycleplanet.co.uk/products/673-GIVI-SR683-Rear-Plate/ Seeing that you have the original side case holders, it mounts well together. Then you can mount any monokey topcase, Givi, Kappa whatever...

Re: slip on for more noise

I've got the Akrapovic exhaust. http://www.akrapovic.com/#!/motorcycle/product/road/163?brandId=44&modelId=365&yearId=2003 No Y-pipe, just slip on. OK, I unscrewed the DB-killer, But I love the rich deeptone sound. http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff403/EasyBee/DSC_0114_zpsd23f6...

Re: Electrical Output

When it's time to replace the battery, replace it by a slightly bigger (=more powerful one), 22 Ah instead of the 19 Ah. The standard battery is just sufficient, while the bigger 22 Ah will give you the extra "umpf" when it's the colder season. The 22 Ah Motobatt works fine for me.
