Re: shocks interchangeability
Thanks for offering...based on what others have said on the forum, I'm not surprised Rocksters are longer. I've also read the GS fronts are the same as the R but the rears are quite a bit longer, I know I don't want my R to have a GS inseam...no idea where the RT falls relative to this, mounting loo...

Re: 02 R1150R - Throttle Sync
...BBS screws will be close at 1 to 1-1/2 turns out ...make them the same... +1 This assumes your throttle body butterflys have not been screwed with, blue torque strip (paint) or no. IF your BBS (Big Brass Screws) are wildly different to get it to idle in spec, I would suspect this. IF you have to...

Re: Advice please! On 2004 R1150R
It's a heavy bike for a starter, not too powerful (an opinion for sure, just keep the revs down), if it has ABS, I don't see a down side, enjoy the bike...

Re: 2004 R1150R headlight assembly help
I can't tell you I know because I've not worked on one of these headlights before but looking at your pics, it appears you have these clips that are drawn up by screws in the outer bezel. Given their apparent angle, I thing they will pull forward and outward to the inside of bowl your light assembly...

Re: Front Brake Pad Replacement Question.
I don't think they should be dragging. Sometimes as you wear out a set of pads and brake dust and dirt accummulate on the pistons, then you push them back in further for the new (thicker) pads, the dust and dirt can make them sticky (don't retract enough when you let off the brakes). I like to clean...

Re: Brake Pad Replacement Question
The answer to your question is, it depends. If you've never added fluid and swap to new pads, I've had no issue just removing the reservoir cover to allow the fluid to push back up into the reservoir, like you noticed with your ABS funnel. I have a 1999 ABS, so it may be different than yours. You'll...

Re: Mystery speed sensor
Some of the K bikes (and maybe R1100S, though that's not my thing) have both sensors in final drive. My 1999 R1100S final drive does have both and separate...This final drive also has the Rubber Chicken Racing pivot bushings instead of bearing for the pivots.... https://s20.postimg.cc/wx9csi1ql/199...

Re: Mystery speed sensor
It's the rear speed sensor for a final drive with a crown ring in it to do the inductive pickup. R1100S bikes use them and from what I'm told, so do Rocksters. However, I've seen pics of Rocksters with and without them, so I'm not sure what to think. I'm currently converting an R1150R over to someth...
