I never use that function of my computer. I leave it on temperature. When the light goes on or when the little bars get down to two or three I start looking for gas.

There must be a saying about a wise man (or a fool) and the OBC reading. I presumed nothing. I guess I got lucky. Praise God.

Re: Range on a full tank...
I got 264 mi out of my R1200R yesterday. If I had been keeping up with the mileage I would have been afraid. I filled it with 5.1 gals on the side stand.

Good for you and good for them. You don't hear the good stuff on dealers often. Mine offered me NO such kindness.

I think that BMW makes the best OEM luggage of all the bike makers out there but I too would like some top opening aluminum cases.

Don, I think you did a great job! I'd put that on my bike in a heartbeat. I'm not artistic.
I don't care for the white stripes either. They don't capture the look of the old style white stripe borders at all for me.

Re: Help me spend my money (on a r1200r)
Sellers market, eh? Apparently I let my '08 R1200R with 17K go too cheap: 8 grand. I didn't exactly have people beating down the door to buy it either. Took me 6 months to sell it. I must have been doing something wrong. Try and source a used one right now .. not too many choices . .. looks like YM...

Re: Brake Failure Light
Figure out if your ABS is working. This was easy for me because my driveway is gravel and has some steep places. Contact Module Masters http://www.modulemaster.com/en/BMW/index.php. They fixed mine for around $300. The local BMW shop quoted me $1700 or $1800 for parts and $600 or $700 for labor. The...

Re: Brake Failure Light
I had this problem one time. I changed the bulb out and as best I can remember it it did not fix the problem. Seems like the problem just went away. I can't remember. If you have a trip planned and everything is working OK,, go. Just put up with the warning light.

Re: 2014 R1200R wethead ?
Will it be possible to keep the front wheel on the pavement with this motor ? It will be a crotch rocket ! ASC. I have raised the wheel in 3rd once by accident. Scared the chit outa me. The ASC kicked in and set it down gently before I knew what was going on. I should not have any more power than m...

How much wider are the GSA bars? I would be interested in wider bars as well.
