I plan on changing the final drive and gear box oil among other projects this winter.
I was going to ask what gear oil improved shifting, ironic.

Re: Sensor rings/sensors removal
After I pulled the (ridiculous) Servo system I considered pulling the ABS ring on the front wheel. It's just a stamped stainless sheet metal ring that can't weigh much. Maybe a winter project... I did pull the sensor up front and left the rear sensor in place. Changed all the brake pads to EBC-HH, a...

Re: Slipping Clutch - low miles
Clutch Slip Update: After having the better half help manually bleed the Clutch there is no longer any slipage at peak power...thankfully. It did bleed out a few small air bubbles. When I removed the ABS and installed braided brake lines I also bled the Clutch using a manual vacuum pump initially. I...

Re: FYI Installing T valve stems for TPMS
Just the core and yes it was rubber. FJR-1300, not a older Motorcycle.
I have also heard and read about balancing beads causing air loss failure in vales stems.
I'm sure there are many who have used them for 1000's of miles.
I will never be one.

Re: FYI Installing T valve stems for TPMS
Not to be an alarmist....a friend was running a screw onto the valve stem style of TPMS. While riding with his wife on the back it pulled the entire valve stem core out at speed. They didn't crash, barely. I had a OEM system on a Kawasaki Concours 1400 that was internal to the rim. It wasn't worth h...

Re: Clutch Slave Cylinder
Changing the clutch slave cylinder is easy compared to splitting the bike in half to replace the clutch if the SC fails. If it looks good and there is no migration of oil visible behind the starter motor it's still IMHO worth drilling the safety hole in case of failure.....I wish I'd done that! Ple...

Re: Remove ABS - Dual Banjo at the master cylinder?
If anyone wants to remove the ABS and utilize the OEM Junction for the front brake lines I have the custom copper tube “U-loop” with fittings. You can have it, mailed to anywhere USA. I replaced the Lines with 2004 SS braided OEM lines that came with a non ABS junction.

Slipping Clutch - low miles
Got the 2002 Roadster out for the first time this year. The clutch engages and works fine, until I roll on allot of throttle. It then slips at about 5000 RPM. Currently has 9200 miles. Here’s the strange part. I didn’t change the oil or touch the Clutch all winter and it worked fine last fall. Here’...

Re: Parasitic Drain
If the Kisan Signal minder is in question try a voltmeter on your Battery then un-plug it.

I was going to buy a Kisan unit until I read some reviews stating parasitic drain and running hot.
Let us know what you find.

I did have to cut both circuits. This and the DIY Servo removal are what makes forums so amazing.

https://youtu.be/REYFATNRy5Q link on video on how to mod flasher unit Thanks for the link. Fantastic that it just involves cutting a circuit, not that I’m opposed to using a soldering iron. There is a discrepancy between the video and the circuit board picture posted above. The video states cutting...

If you ever suspect a air leak causing a lean surge spray WD-40 around the intake boot seams while running. You will see white smoke out the exhaust if the WD is being burned in the combustion chamber. Old racer trick...

When Driving in multi-lane heavy traffic I keep my left thumb on the horn button and my right index and middle finger on the front brake lever. I make it a point to try to stay out of blind spots. I can't count the number of times I'll see someone glance at their mirror and start to merge on top of ...
